Plan, organize and control overall logistics operations to ensure smooth flow of business, maximum profitability, increase in customer satisfaction and continued business growth.
Set short and long range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
Develop and impose operation strategy in harmony with the company’s vision and mission. Determine the most efficient scheme to fulfill constraints such as SLA, costs, time limit and resource availability.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and shipping.
Assume full responsibility of business communication and interaction with spectrum of clients or key personnel involved in logistics activity. Develop positive business relations with the same.
Manage complete s operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees then duly following up on work results. Deal with understaffing, resolve conflicts and administer disciplinary procedures.
Offer training to help staff improve, maintain or learn new skills to address company needs. Identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources department.
Work collaboratively with management in planning human resource requirements. Provide assistance in managing human resources operations such as recruitment and training-development.
Review activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
