-Perform the role of inbound coordinator for updating of all goods receipt in Umoja SAP;-Manages all civilian, military and police in MovCon assigned to him/her throughout the mission area;-Develops cost-effective and efficient transport plans, assessing the modalities of different means of transport, examining the costs and benefits of outsourcing transport functions and their feasibility in operational terms;
-Determines technical specifications for movement control services and develops statements of work/requirements;Evaluates short-term aviation and surface transport contracts;-Monitors quality control procedures to ensure they are implemented for all work processes;-Monitors that statistical data on the movement of passengers and cargo (including dangerous goods requiring special handling) within and/or outside a field mission is recorded in accordance with the established procedures and deadlines;-Develop Movement Contingency Plans;
-identify and inform relevant customers about future events, associated planning activities and logistics operational intent for optimal management of these events; -Coordinate all support activities from receipt of request trough verification, analysis, approval, monitoring, planning, tracking, reporting, storing and issuance .-Participates in the development of technical specifications for goods and services, provides inputs to the responses to bids
and technical evaluations to ensure that vendor's proposals meet technical requirements. • Participates in the coordination of the requisition process with purchasing authorities. • Monitors contracts for the provision of ground handling support and
participates in the evaluation of vendor's performance in coordination with the Contracts Management Unit and/or the
Procurement Section;-Participates in the development of the standard operating procedures for the related logistics processes.
My arrival in Jowhar coincide with the restructuration of the Mission with emphasis on cost-efficiency and provision of an end-to-end customer service. There was therefore an immediate requirement to allocate and rotate appropriate work
assignments through reliable logistical support services . I was able to quickly put in place a structure enabling planning,
supporting and coordinating expanding operations while maintaining routine logistics support services .

Manager in UNMIN, I was able to work independently and many times forced to take decisions without the support of my
superior( Chief Movcon ) located at UNMIN HQ .As a strong and reliable Movcon Staff, I devoted a good deal of my spare time
ensuring trouble free air movements in the Midwestern and Far western regions of the sector. Volunteering in UNMIN gave me
a whole new perspective on life and to have had the opportunity to be part of this Mission was an honor and a privilege.
UNMIN was again an opportunity to put through the UN my knowledge, qualifications and experience to another country`s
service after doing the same in Congo and in my own country .

Movcon Assistant ( Traffic & Shipping Unit ) at United Nations

-Establish direct contact with Procurement Section, SAU's ( Incoming UNOE ), respective Military/Civpol contingents (

-Informing the Head of Traffic & Shipping Unit of any urgent shipments as and when they arise
-Establish a system to prioritize clearance of incoming shipments of UNOE as instructed by Procurement Section and the
SAU's
-Liaise with MINUSTAH designated Freight Forwarder/Clearing agent in relation to all incoming /outgoing shipments of
UNOE/COE
-Liaise with the local authorities when required
-Liaise with the Travel Unit to ensure that departing staff members are entitled to unaccompanied shipment of Personal
Effects ( Issuance of a PT8)
-Receive and forward requests for insurance of Personal Effects as per travel authorization to the Traffic Unit, UNHQ, NY
-Arrange storage for incoming personal effects shipments prior on-forwarding to final destination in the mission area when

-Collecting all relative information in regard to cargo being imported to the mission area

Contingent, R & I, Travel Unit through E-mail, Telephone conversation decreases considerably the risks for
misunderstandings and mistakes when it comes to clearing and delivery of UNOE, COE, Personal Effects. By Exercising a
high degree of self motivation, solid and sound judgment, leadership and a great sense of Initiative, I am able to keep in many
occasions the section on the right path in the absence of the Head of Traffic & Shipping Unit.

Movement Control Assistant ( In support to DRC Elections ) at United Nations

-Monitoring the arrival and offloading of multiple cargo flights ( as much as 100 tons of palletized ballots ) -Submit to my

offloading of inbound flights - Maintaining of a safe, clean and secure storage and holding area for cargo -Maintaining a daily

review of My supervisor -Translating air cargo space into road cargo and vice versa - Liaising with Staff Members in various

mentioned period, I manage to perform my duty with efficiency and dedication. We were able to move using Antonov, IL-76, C-
130, MI-26, MI-8, Beachcraft, more than 3, 800, 000 kgs of cargo in relation to the DRC Elections . Maintaining a daily inventory of
cargo received and a daily log Book of the dispatched cargo facilitates greatly the tracking, searching and the locating of
missing ballots, voters list, electoral kits, and results slips. Also ensuring that the Electoral Materials are stored in a secure,
safe and clean area increases the transparency and the credibility of the Elections.My ability to work efficiently and without
supervision allow my supervisors confidently to send me to the loading origin in South Africa ( Johannesburg ) to make
contact with the shippers and monitor their loading of MONUC aircraft, thus providing the entire DRC elections team with vital
real-time cargo data.Although challenging, the opportunity to monitor Electoral Cargo From Johannesburg (RSA) for almost a
month gave me the utmost confidence in my various abilities and allowed me to gain more experience in logistics by handling
more responsibilities.
