Position: Venue Security Manager

Planned, tested and managed security operations for vehicle and pedestrian search areas across 6 venues of the Olympic Park and initially for the new Westfield shopping centre. (Approx. 1500 vehicles and 120, 000 spectators entering the park daily, including VIPs.)
• Developed venue security operational plans, implemented security policies and procedures and advised venue planning teams in their application to venue overlay and operations.
• Quality assured implementation of the risk assessment mitigation recommendations comprising of physical and operational security measures into the venue design and overlay.
• Developed relationships with key venue stakeholders at LOCOG and Westfield Shopping Centre and external security delivery partners to ensure a seamless operation in execution at Games-time.
• Managed third party contract delivery, ensuring Service Level Agreements were met.
• Represented LOCOG Security at multi-agency (Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, MOD, Government bodies, G4S) planning meetings.
• Worked collaboratively with MOD to ensure service level agreements were met and received positive feedback from senior ranking officer.
• Ensured diplomatic and expedient handling of VIP access issues (VIPs included Royalty, Government figures, Senior Olympic officials, celebrities, etc.)
• Successfully ensured secure operation with minimum impact on customer - efficient operation reduced vehicle search turnaround time by half.

• Represented the security consortium at daily meetings with FIFA as well as South African Police services.
