Hiring, training, supervising and motivating permanent and temporary staff
Contributing operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and
reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production,
productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolving problems;
completing audits; identifying trends
Ensuring that all department staff members are briefed and up to date on all
operational changes effecting catering requirements
Maintaining safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and
enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
Managing and controlling the service offers for the client to the agreed
specification and to the agreed performance
Assisting and supervising the sales and marketing strategies

Representing the company by communicating professionally with the clients
Researching competing catering companies and identifying sales strategies that
result in additional sales and new customers
Oversee approx. 5 companies' canteen contracts
Conducting site visits and preparing original, creative proposals tailored to address
the needs of and to impress the customers
Selling and up selling catering services to meet/exceed sales and financial
objectives
Seeking to evolve new business opportunities, selling services and supporting bids
Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships
with customers and others in the course of their event planning
Meeting the customer at the event, ensuring proper event set-up and customer
satisfaction, and delivering a high level of customer service
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and transactions
