Network Engineering Director: in charge of the end-to-end Mobile Network Planning, Design and Technology Roadmap. Heading the Radio, Core and Transmission/Backbone units. Managing a team of 60 employees.
Cost effective Network Design ensuring high efficiency, redundancy, geo-redundancy as well as latency, throughput and QoE improvement.
Network Capex and Opex reduction.
Issuance of fast and effective network design changes to overcome critical network or security incidents, to cope for commercial initiatives increasing the data traffic or prompt shift in the customers behavior, reshuffling of network elements or equipment to contain network issues.
Preparation of network wide proactive plans to cope for predicted events, seasonal traffic changes.
Network evolution strategy including a 2G/3G exit plan and a 4.5G/5G evolution plan, in addition to implementing Core Network Virtualization.
Provide a Strategic company level plan to Top Management to reduce costs and improve revenues.
Follow up on the Radio, Core and Transmission operational activities.
Direct handling/management of the Voice and Packet Core Network.
Acting CTO: selected to lead the Technical Department at touch during a critical interim period, to handle and manage all Network divisions including Radio, Core, Transmission, Field Implementation & Maintenance, Infrastructure, Network Operations and Quality. In addition to setting the department strategy and technology plans and follow up on all department activities and issues.
Resolution of several pending contractual and payment issues.
Cost reduction.
Network availability, QoS and redundancy improvement.
Acceleration of the 4G network roll out.
3G coverage improvement solution.
