Project Engineer
• Ensure adherence to Project Safety (HSE) policies.
• Review and understand project schedule.
• Proactively manage compliance with project schedule, budget and procedures
• Oversees and facilitates the installation of equipment and components for a project to ensure contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
• Oversees quality control.
• Serves as a liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.
• Participates in project meetings and facilitates regularly-scheduled meetings related to BIM execution and deliverables for the project.
• Support integration of project data such as but not limited to schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports and performance data etc.
• Interpret designs and drawings for technicians
• Track RFIs, Shop Drawings, As-built drawings and other project documents.
• Proactively identifies and works to resolve any site issues that may impede the project delivery.
• Provides technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors.
Project Field Coordinator / Site Engineer
• Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.
• Set out, level and survey the site.
• Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials.
• Agree a price for materials and make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
• Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
• Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes practices, QA/QC policies performance standards and specifications.
• Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
• Support, cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
• plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Oversees the daily construction activity and coordinate closely with Contractor for any non-compliance or observation related to Quality or Safety
