As a project manager I own the execution and implementation of multiple medium and large projects simultaneously which are complex in nature for customers enrolled under the issuing business, whilst working in a matrix organization
Major Achievements:
• Launched Contactless 3D Secure enabled VISA credit cards for a NBFC in KSA along with supporting them in setting up their business and operational processes
• Launched VISA debit cards for a bank in UAE which encompassed setting up of ATMs and certification for UAE Switch services and assisted the bank in setting up their core banking system for Debit Card processing along with operational processes
• Enabled a bank on the instant issuance platform to instantly issue their Credit and Debit cards
• Managed large size projects up to quarter of a million USD in the issuing domain
Job Responsibilities:
• Initiate and agree on plan/schedule of projects with internal Agile teams, vendor(s), scheme(s) (VISA, MasterCard) and client
• Executed and monitored project progress continuously for allocated projects throughout the lifecycle of the project and prioritizing tasks on their progress and criticality
• Monitor the schedule, cost, scope of the allocated projects as per the approved SoW (Statement of Work)
• Conducting steering committee meetings and presenting the project progress to internal and client mid and senior management
• Publish weekly status reports to business and client stakeholders, also highlighting RISK and issues along with proposing mitigation while ensuring effective communication and engagement with clients.
• Working closely with business stakeholders, IT and customers on the delivery of projects and highlighting any change in requirements as per the agreed Statement of Work and following the change management process as and where applicable
• Ensuring transparent communication between internal teams and clients on the project progress
• Delivering projects in production with implementation team post certifications, UAT, Operational RISK and internal approvals
• Closing projects effectively by updating the document repository, documenting lessons learned, and handing over to support teams within the stipulated SLA (Service Level Agreement) periods
I managed projects along with finalizing end to end solutions related to alternate channels (ATMs, ITMs, Cards, Bill payment)
Major Achievements:
• Launched Global Cash card a multi-currency pre-paid card in collaboration with MasterCard and internal cross functional teams
• Launched the new NCR SS91 ITMs (Interactive Teller) machines, that provide the experience of a digitized branch
• Worked on integration of banks marketplace www.SkyShopper.com portal with utility billers (DEWA, RTA, Salik etc…)
Job Responsibilities:
• Pre-Initiated projects within the agreed timelines of the business case and obtained approval from the IT approval committee
• Designed end to end solutions and finalized efforts of the projects in liaison with different business and IT units
• Initiated projects post obtaining approvals from the IT approval committee and closing the pre-initiation phase
• Monitored initiatives continuously across teams for compliance of scope, cost, timeline and submitted weekly project reports
• Managed vendors and stakeholders from various business units by conducting regular Project group and project board meetings

I consulted with the bank on projects and service support for their alternate channels
• Consulted with the bank on a project for application and OS upgrade for alternate channels systems

I managed projects for multiple banks and Telco across Middle East (Qatar, Kuwait, UAE) and South Asia (Pakistan and Afghanistan)
Major Achievements:
•Implemented the Central bank of Pakistan mandate to transact via IBAN on alternate channels at multiple banks
•Managed the upgrade of ATM switch IRIS in multiple financial institutions in Qatar (Doha Bank) and Kuwait
•Enabled a bank in Qatar (Doha bank) to achieve PA DSS compliance for ATM switch IRIS
•Handled multiple utility biller integration projects for various clients
•Enabled Bank Al Habib to launch CUP (China Union Pay) cards and also facilitated its acquiring over their ATM network
•Enabled the launch of multiple customer services for topup/payments at Ooredo (Qatar) along with integration of their Kiosks
Job Responsibilities:
•Finalized the scope/efforts basis of the BRD shared by clients
•Gathered requirements with stakeholders as per the finalized scope and formalized the functional specifications
•Planned projects with clients and internal teams
•Executed and monitored multiple projects in parallel including deliverables, cost, timelines from inception till closure and highlighted risks and issues to stake holders along with a mitigation plan
•Submitted the actual cost of the project in comparison with the budgeted amount to finance at project closure

•Implemented High Availability project to enable replication for switch data on DR site which reduced the downtime of services
•Implemented ATM monitoring system (Insight) for terminals/External networks
•Managed and implemented iJournal/iDistribute for managing the electronic Journal and roll out of updates on ATM’s
•Implemented the Xpense processing system for expense processing, cost allocation, amortization & asset management
•Managed the implementation of eReconciler application for reconciling transactions between schemes, switch and host
•Developed a utility to automate customer boarding process in CMS to optimize time and reduced errors in the process
