Securities Finance (International Marks, Return and Settlement Process)

•Agree mark totals via Equilend, offline or combination of both
•Resolve mark discrepancies with broker to ultimately mark all open positions
•Pay settlement on all settled loan returns
•Resolve discrepancies related to fails, mismatches or additional settlement
•Help Onshore in balancing daily work at EOD
•Reconcile breaks with regards to international settlement including investigation of the breaking funds, classify breaks based on nature, check positions of funds and reallocation of shares

Agree mark totals using equilend and an offline database called 10.30 Am - While agreeing the marks I work with the broker to resolve any discrepancies on open positions, track settlements and agree them with the broker throughout the day and pay back the associated collateral. Major brokers include UBS, Bank of America, Nomura, Deutsche Bank, ABN, Fidelity, Citi, JPMorgan, and Scotia.
