To integrate gender analysis and specify gender equality results into macroeconomic policy and planning process. Build or develop capacities in promoting gender equality. For instance, develop a gender action plan and gender strategy, Engender policy processes at all levels of administration, e.g. equalization formulas and policy impact assessment tool., using these to assess the impact of fiscal decentralization and taxation on women, among others. Building capacity of civil servants, community leaders and other duty bearers of human rights system on the county obligations, including the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women (CEDAW), as well as it’s commitments to the Millennium Development Goal (MDGs). Strengthen Capacity to monitor government spending to check if the money is flowing into services benefiting women need, such ante-natal care, or have primary responsibility for, such as water, and services both women and men needs.
Building capacity for participatory budgeting, including gender budgeting involving all key stakeholders in budgeting process
Knowledge capturing, sharing with others by building upon successful policies and practices on gender regionally and nationally.
Support exchange of experience within and across the country in government processes that have integrated gender concerns, including participation of women in policy formulation.
Supporting into the development of National Macro-Economic Framework and Policy for Somaliland in partnership with UNDP/Somali Institutional Development Project.(SIDP) - • Support the successful and timely completion of all planned project activities such as; conducting the data collection and analysis exercises relevant to the work of the Ministry of national planning and coordination of Somaliland, assist in the preparation and analysis of Macro-economic and Sector strategies and programs and liaise and participate in the work of Government Economic Management Institutions.
Provided technical support and guidance to the ministry for the review of the Ministry’s profile. Development of strategic framework and a national plan for action for gender programming to strengthen coordination.
Support of the ministry in the development of a resource mobilization strategy and tools, the development of an advocacy strategy for gender and women’s empowerment.
Support and coordinate implementation of capacity building and training on gender interventions for the Ministry and relevant stakeholders in Somaliland.
Provide training of the ministry’s staff on gender issues and help the ministry in setting its program plans, proper reporting, financial statement as well as proposal writings.
Perform any other duties/tasks assigned by the minister and the director general of the ministry of Family and social affairs
Advocacy for Human rights Promotion for People with Disabilities, Managing day to day activities for the first Disability Network and public relations and development of project proposals, in all stages of the project from designing, Planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting for all the partnership projects of government with UN and Other international partners.
Human rights adviser and supported of Activists network for disabled persons (ANDP), Local NGO, for the advocacy of equal rights and accessibility for people with disabilities in Somaliland.
