I am currently a Fitness Manager of Fitness First in Dubai. I have managed 2 sites (of which one is the biggest Fitness First site in the world and the other is in the top 10 revenue generating sites in the world). I ensure that individual personal training budgets are set in line with club targets. I am also responsible of a wide range of areas including maintaining a high level of customer service, training staff and organising the fitness team. I joined Fitness First as a Fitness Instructor and since then have been promoted to Personal Trainer, Assistant Fitness Manager and Fitness Manager.
I dealt with Health and Safety issues, risk assessments, managing duty managers, dealing with customer complaints and generating a range of different reports, including P&L’s.
I first began as a sales advisor promoting Harpers Gyms. This role involves generating leads, touring the centre and working within a team to enlist new members in order to meet sales targets. I also helped on reception and general tasks around the centre. During this time i achieved to sell over 100 memberships in 1 month.
This was a 4 year degree that included a work placement year. The course covered a wide range of subjects including programming languages, hardware, data warehousing, networks and management information systems. It also included business elements and mathematics.
