The FMS supports the building of political parties, through training, at the request of the foreign partners. For example, we train young politicians in the Balkans, we support democrats in Russia and we train the new social democratic parties in Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. Recurring themes in these training sessions are building a democratic party, the involvement of young people and women, local politics, EU enlargement and political skills. Trainers have relevant expertise in politics and use two textbooks, which are available to everyone (over the internet): "How to become a better politician, political skills manual" and "The art of effective training, trainer manual".
