I recentry assigned to be a director of the Project Manageent Office PMO at King Khalid University KKU
My responsibilities became more sophisticated in regard not only managing and supervising a huge number of projects running accros the KKU simultaneously, but also directing the project managers.
My plan is to restructure the PMO by reviewing policies, templates, historical documents and standards to be the best practice aligned with the PMI methodologies.
Participating in the 2nd Ajman Excellence Award for the year 2013.
I am responsible with the Assessors Team for assessing the total of 23 initiatives and projects for Ajman Excellence Award for excellent governmental projects to choose the winners of 2013.
KKU is one of the governmental Saudi universities that serve more than 67, 000 students in the southern region of the KSA. Its vision is to be a recognized leader in the delivery of user-focused, secure e-services.
As a Senior Project Manager in the PMO, I am responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously; supervising a number of IT related projects.
Prepare project plans for the projects, control the execution of the assigned tasks to project team and Implement the project functionalities.
Project and processes measurement performance (Metrics), quality control and reporting: ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the Service Level Management SLM process, following up the Earned Value calculations EV against performance measurement baseline as well as identifying the Key performance Indicators KPIs.
Responsible to assist the PMO Manager in managing the PMO. This includes monitoring and reporting on all projects that span across the Project Development division.
Assist in the development of the project management methods, systems, tools and techniques in order to ensure continuous improvement of the department capabilities in project management.
Assist in the development of the Project Development Plan in conjunction with all related and concerned departments.
Report on the utilization of all resources and ensure that they are effectively utilized and critical milestones are met in accordance with the Project Development Plan.
Prepare and submit consolidated periodical progress reports (weekly and monthly basis) that encompass the status of each project.
Responsible for all communication coordination related to the PMO dept. with all department functions.
Document historical information and lessons learned from previous projects and archive them for future projects.
Delivered successful IT projects. examples of such successful engagements :
-Umniah: Attendance and Distribution Tracking System.
-Orange: Distribution Tracking System; a real time solution to automate, monitor and control all field activities of Orange indirect sales force and distributors
-Greater Amman Municipality GAM: Designing Assets Management and Labelling System and Inventory Management Information System.
-UNRWA: Fixed Assets tracking and management System for UNRWA.
-Water Authority of Jordan WAJ: Portable Billing System.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Participated in planning and executing the IT strategy Project in Kurdistan- Iraq as well as creating the policies for database metadata, identifying organization’s resource data as well as ensuring data integrity and data quality.
• Design database structure and user Interface layout.

• Strategy and Implementation Roadmap Development for Kurdistan Regional Government KRG Project: Participating in the Information Technology Strategy and Roadmap Development covering all the governmental entities passing through bellow roles:
- Performing the assessment phase: data collecting by visiting nine KRG’s entities and ministries.
- Identifying and describing the KRG priority business needs and quick win opportunities
- Performing a research and capturing best in class in regional Government information technology adoption and deployment
- Performing research and capture relevant leading IT practices and trends.
- Performing benchmarking and Current Situation Assessment
- Developing Vision, Mission and Objectives draft with the Department of IT- KRG.
- Capture government challenges and dependencies in introducing IT infrastructure, business solutions and technology delivery capabilities
- Developing Strategic Directions draft covering all the areas of Governance.
- Identifying IT Governance policies and processes.
- Identifying the IT gaps between existing situation and the future IT Strategy.
- Identify the Common Applications taking into consideration the Current KRG Situation Assessment, Business Needs, Strategic Direction and Benchmarks.
• Financial Operations Automation ERP and Accounting System Selection for KOREK Telecom: I was a member of the evaluation committee for the KOREK Telecom Company in Kurdistan- Iraq.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Business Process Reengineering for the Jordanian Government Entities; analyzing the entity’s current procedures and workflows, designing new procedures to achieve a defined business outcome.
• Controlling the service and deliverables quality .
• Setting up the appropriate IT policies and procedures for CSB.
• Managing the relationship with the vendor, the internal users and with the key persons in the ministries and organizations.
• Creating the appropriate environment for the systems and procedures to be aligned with the Jordanian e-government program.
• Worked as the IT Contract Advisor, was responsible for the planning and managing all the aspects of the IT contract procurement processes of CSB.
Sample of Projects:
• Data Cleansing For the Public Sector Employees Database. This was a huge project that required to transform and cleanse around half million records of government employees in Jordan. I was the System Analyst.
• e-Card project for Public Sector Employees, converting all Paper-based records to a database to be available on the Civil Service Bureau web Site www.csb.gov.jo
• Human Resources Management Information Systems HR project for Public Sector Employees in all Ministries and public Departments via a central database to unify the data source and data manipulation.

I worked at PALCO as an instructor.I conducted training courses in Oracle DBMS including: SQL, PL/SQL, Forms and Report. In addition to a an Oracle Designer and a DBA courses.
I played the following roles in MCE:
• IT Manager. It was the last position.
During my job, I gained a wide experience in project management, general management, HR management, quality management, Key Performance Improvement KPI procedures and IT management al well as leadership. I was a member of the development team who developed the HR Systems. Moreover, participated in computerization of the Department of Mobilization and connecting this department with the Jordanian e-government Program.
• System Analyst and Senior Developer
As a member of the development team of the Financial Systems, I worked on the Oracle DBMS technology as a System Analyst in addition to working as a Senior Oracle Developer and DBA. Participated in analyzing the main requirements of the financial system as well as developed parts of the database objects (packages, procedures and functions) and designing the end-user’s screens and reports using Oracle tools; such as Oracle Developer and Oracle Discoverer.
• Database Administrator DBA and Developer.
Participated in analyzing, designing and developing the following information systems:
Human Resources HR System, Point Of Sales (POS) and Cash Management System using FoxPro and Oracle DBMS tools.
