Assigned to provide a competent and efficient care in the site during emergency situations (earthquake, fire, etc), providing first aid (fractures, falls, electrocution, lacerated wounds, etc) and medication for common illness, keeping track of every worker’s health, giving proper referrals to patients who need hospitalization and special treatment. Collaborating with the Safety and Health Team in the site for the benefit of the workers.
Emergency Room- Assigned to give immediate and efficient care during emergency situations. Carry out all Emergency Doctor’s Orders with competency and proper execution. Assisting doctor in every patient’s care and coordinating with Ward Nurses on proper endorsement of patient from the Emergency Room. Able to perform Triage in Mass Casualty incidents (Vehicular Accidents, etc) and also able to explain every detail of the medical plan for the patient guided by the Patient’s Rights and Institutional Policy.
Operating Room- Assigned to assists the Surgeon on every Major and Minor Operations. Assists patient in the Operating Room by giving proper instructions and preparing the patient itself and all the necessary medication and equipment. Receiving patient from the Surgery ward and ensuring all Pre-operational Protocols are carried out. Assists post-operation patient in transferring them to Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and properly endorsing them to the PACU Nurse. Keeping records of all the instruments and ensuring proper disinfection and sterilization.
Medical Ward and Surgical Ward- Assigned to provide a competent and efficient care to the patients endorsed to me while observing the patient’s rights and institutional policies. Checking the patient’s status every now and then and collaborating with the attending Physician regarding the patient’s plan of care. Able to give proper Life Support if patient’s status becomes severe. Coordinating with my Head Nurse if there are inquiries regarding the patient’s plan of care. Properly recording Vital Status of the patient in the Chart and Documenting the intended plan of Care. Giving proper Endorsement to OR nurse regarding the patient’s scheduled Operation and educating the patient the Do’s and Don’ts before operation and after. Able to ensure that patient is already signed for consent before endorsing to OR.
