• Oversees the preparation of daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statements and reports.
• Ensures that external document submissions and filings are accurate and timely.
• Preparation of the annual budgets including:
- Assist Regional Accounting Manager in preparing the presentation on revenue and capital budget together with a detailed variance analysis to the Regional GM
- Prepare the basis for route budget allocation in line with regional plans
- Assist the Rolling out of regional budgets to the depots within the regions.
a. Review of actual performance against budget with regional executives. A proactive involvement is required during such reviews in order to help the region achieve its targets. Assist in presentation of regional results at the executive meetings.
b. Coordinates the annual audit. Ensures that accounting records and reports are in compliance with company and country regulations. Cooperates with and assists external auditors as appropriate.
c. Active participation during the preparation and control of operational budgets.
d. Completes reports and analyses of sales depots and country operations as requested by Senior Management. Conducts cost analysis, ratio and trend analysis, and other comparative examinations as appropriate.
• Ensure that the regional activities are performed in compliance with the FIS policies and procedures.
• Take a pro-active role to implementation of FIS policies, procedures, and standards for the organization and in particular those relating to the sales & marketing activities.
• Continuous review and improvement of the internal control systems within the region and carry out internal audits on a regular basis.
• Development and training of the finance staff.
