Supervise and assign activities to Inspection engineers (Field Inspector and NDT Technicians). • Mentor and train the local inspection engineers and ensure their progression. • Conduct internal and external planned and unplanned inspection of all equipment’s. • Periodical inspection of Platform structures (Jacket), Well head piping system and static equipment’s (Pressure Vessel, Separator, Drum, Tank, Filter’s, Heater Treater, Slug catcher). • Coordinate with NDT group to access the equipment condition. • Monitor the repairs as per company and international standards for their final acceptance. • Issue equipment’s final inspection report documenting all the findings, NDT results, repairs, testing and recommendations for future use and reference. • Maintain inspection files, records and keep them up to date. • Periodically review the data base information and ensure that appropriate repairs and replacements to the equipment’s are recommended. • Prepare job list for shutdown testing and inspection (T&I) requirement for all equipment’s and piping circuits and participates to finalize the T&I scope of work. • Anticipate equipment and piping retirement and initiate appropriate steps with required recommendations to address best practice repairs. • Retirement calculation, corrosion rate calculation, remaining service life calculation and advising for any repair, replacement and rotating requirement. • Quality inspection of new platform installation, commissioning, start up through EPIC contractor, revamping and modifications of existing platform and structures. • Issue inspection work sheet for any findings in the assigned area and follow up with execution. • Participate final walkthrough for new projects and provide exemption items. • Participate technical meeting with Operations and maintenance Engineers for Asset integrity management issues and development. • Implement the Quality Management and Corrosion Management system. • Responsible for co-ordination for field engineering activities with Planning, Operation, Construction, Project Department where areas interface or overlap.
* Communicating and liaising effectively with Client, Contractor & Sub contractor.
* Managing, supervising and visiting contractors, sub contractor on site and advising on Mechanical, Civil & Design issues.
* Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
* Managing change, as the client may change his or her mind about the design, and identifying, formalizing and notifying relevant parties of changes in the project.
* Checking and approving procedures and inspection reports.
* Daily on site review inspection, to ensure that contractors conformity in relevance with the project specification
* Reviewing and approving project drawings
* Attending public meetings to discuss projects, especially in a senior role
* Adopting all relevant requirements around issues such as NOC, environmental regulations, good manufacturing practices and safety on all work assignments.
* Ensuring that a project runs smoothly and that the structure is completed on time.
* Monitors construction activities and its compliance inline with applicable quality requirements.
* Ensures that all Civil Backfilling and compaction, piling works were done as per project specification.
* Responsible for fabrication and installation of Piping, Pipeline works
* Coordination with QAQC Inspectors to assign the daily based inspection activities, for Pre-fabrication of piping and structural’s, erection of Static equipments, Rotating Equipments, piping Inspection of all piping construction activities.
* Prepare priority wise prefabrication plan, Tracking of free issued materials.
* Review the radiographs, witness NDT, hydro test, alignment checking & acceptance of Static and Rotating Equipments.
* Preparation of punch list, verify mechanical completion system wise handing over to start up team and assist to start-up and commissioning
1) Review job specification whenever new jobs come, and prepare ITP, Procedure and submit to client for approval.
2) Conduct PQR, WPS, WQT. Once ITP, Procedure, WPS, PQR are approved from Client then I distribute all documents fabrication dept.
2) I Conduct in house training, internal audit and quality awareness to the junior inspectors.
3) Co ordination with Client, AI, TPI.
4) Monitoring sub contractors Quality systems and Quality performance.
5) Checking and inspection of all raw materials brought out items and review of MTC as per spec.
6) Review construction and weld drawings before commencing fabrication.
7) Supervise and monitor NDT activities.
8) RT film interpretation and review NDT reports as per international codes.
9) Witness Hardness, PMI, DPI, MPI, UT, Heat Treatment & Ferrite Testing.
10) Surveillance on fabrication activities at all stages.
11) Carrying out Painting inspection as per the requirement of Standard & Codes.
12) Conduct and witness final pressure test.
13) Checking of General arrangement drawing and fabrication drawing & Inspection of PV, Heat Exchanger and Regeneration Cooler.
14) Calibration of all measuring instruments and maintenance of calibration records, Welder and WPS records.
15) Identifies non conformances and put in place corrective actions
16) Pipe book Preparation / Preparation of QC dossier as per project requirement and submit to client for approval.
• Preparation of WPS & PQR as per API standards
• Conducting Electrode Qualification Tests and Welder Qualification Tests.
• Performing all QC inspection activities in accordance with the project Quality plan, procedures, applicable codes, standards and specifications.
• Conducting toolbox meeting / Safety Induction.
• Proper guidance to welders to control repairs in joints.
• Supervise and monitor NDT activities.
• RT film interpretation and review NDT reports as per international codes.
• Monitoring various activities of Oil & Gas Cross country Pipeline construction such as Trenching, Field Joint Coating, Crossings by Open Cut Method, Bored Crossings, Lowering-In, Backfilling, etc. in accordance with approved procedures, applicable codes, construction drawings, etc.
• Preparation of WPS & PQR as per API standards
• Conducting Electrode Qualification Tests and Welder Qualification Tests.
• Performing all QC inspection activities in accordance with the project Quality plan, procedures, applicable codes, standards and specifications.
• Conducting toolbox meeting / Safety Induction.
• Conducting daily Quality, safety inspections and conduction monthly QHSE audit.
• Controlling the welding of joints according to Isometric Drawings and checking Diameter, Thickness, Drawing Number & Class in Welding Progress Report.
• Proper guidance to welders to control repairs in joints.
• Supervise and monitor NDT activities.
• RT film interpretation and review NDT reports as per international codes.
• Supervising Cross country Pipeline construction such as Trenching, Field Joint Coating, Crossings by Open Cut Method, Bored Crossings, Lowering-In, Backfilling, etc. in accordance with approved procedures, applicable codes, construction drawings, etc.
• Conducting Hydro testing, Pigging, Drying, Swabbing, Nitrogen purging.
