I joined InQuest as a Consultant in Security and Protective Intelligence domain. I am responsible for delivering high-quality risk analysis and intelligence solutions to mitigate and proactively manage the potential threats impacting the business environment through geopolitical, security and regulatory assessments, OSINT reports, travel risk evaluations. Also overlooking the projects in various domains to create a safe and secure business environment by enhancing risk resilience, adopting best practices protecting business and people through exposure and expertise in physical security, risk assessments, executive protection, and risk intelligence.
It was a year-long retainer role managing risk and security with additional responsibilities of the human resource management and administration. I spearheaded operations as the Head of HR, Admin & Security at Olam's sugar and co-generation plant. Leading the HR function with 500+ employees without prior HR experience or qualification was a great learning experience at Olam. Strengthened the safety and security of the plant's assets, its employees and their families by implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures. The operations were carried out without any untoward incident or material losses during my tenure. I successfully fostered sustainable partnerships with government departments, law enforcement agencies, and professional bodies while establishing a robust information network to deter potential threats in the politically active Belgaum region.
I led the protective intelligence operations in APAC and EMEA regions, supporting the country offices and field security teams as a part of the Global Risk Group of Pinkerton. To take GRG's regional operations to the next level, I successfully established the APAC/EMEA Regional Intelligence Operations Center (RIC) based on the follow-the-sun model of operations. Managing a global team was another feather in my cap. I directly supervised a team of 18 Intelligence Specialists based out of Asia and Europe and coordinated multiple tasks in a time-efficient manner while supporting operations through a host of intelligence solutions. My primary responsibilities included assisting the client organizations through highly specialized geopolitical threat assessments, business continuity process analysis, physical security risk assessments, travel risk advisories, intelligence briefs, OSINT reports, and location-based risk assessments alongside technical intelligence solutions.
As a part of the Ministry of External Affairs Division (MEA Division) at CRRID, I served as a subject matter expert in regional security for the Ministry of External Affairs' initiative on Cooperative Development, Peace and Security in South and Central Asia and availed valuable opportunities to represent the organization at various national and international forums. I also served as a visiting faculty at Central Detective Training School (Bureau of Police Research & Development), Chandigarh.
I spearheaded academic operations at Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) as a founding member and managed the overall administration. I was responsible for outreach and campaign for JSIA's flagship programme M.A. in Diplomacy, Law & Business, and established relations with diplomatic missions, media houses, and educational institutions across the country. Also taught the graduate course in Counter-Terrorism Strategies and initiated various academic seminars and workshops including Counter-Terrorism Capacity Building Workshop for serving officers of Indian Armed Forces and Central Police Organizations.
Served as a member of Nuclear Security Program and Regional Security research teams at IPCS. I contributed to security policy discourse through research and analysis on the issues of nuclear security and regional security dynamics.
Availed an opportunity to serve as an Intern in the personal office of High Representative at the United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs (ODA). Participated in the day-to-day work of an office that handled one of the most challenging issues at the United Nations and participated in multilateral negotiations as a part of UNODA team.
I completed a course in Homeland Security consisting of counter terrorism and intelligence discourses as a part of graduate studies at Monterey Institute of International Studies. I availed the opportunity through student exchange program.
I completed the undergrad program from Bhonsala Military College, Nashik affiliated to University of Pune. Also completed basic military training.
