As the CTO of CASHU, my duties and responsibilities are:
- Work with other departments to use new technologies to streamline company policies and rules
- Oversees IT budgets to make sure there are no unnecessary expenditures
- Develop and direct all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external information.
- Consistently evaluate technical efficiency and apply changes as necessary
- Identify competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of a company.
- Analyze complex business needs presented by business and/or clients and recommend required technical solutions or product changes.
- Ensure the consistency and maintainability of current applications and services by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
CashU is a safe payment method designed for and customized to suit, serve & support online shoppers in all Arabic speaking and surrounding countries with secure, accessible and easy to use payment solutions, giving everyone the possibility to buy online without discriminating on income, nationality or banking contacts.
As the It director in CashU, my duties and responsibilities are:
- Prepare an annual business plan for the IT department, by coordinating with other departmental heads and also the junior level management of the IT department.
- Create and apply innovative ideas and keep tabs of the latest technology.
- Plan and implement additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership.
- Oversee the implementation of network security at the corporate level. - Help
in establishing and building relationships with vendors in conjunction with corporate leadership.
- Oversee all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with Accounting to develop budgets.
- Holding the responsibility for capacity planning and scheduling vendor negotiations related to IT.
- Work on various IT developmental programs that would help the organisation reach newer heights. - Manage human resources within the IT department in liaison with the human resource management department of the organization.
- Set annual targets related to IT operations and monitor the overall performance of the entire department.
- Design IT policies and implement them with the consent of the other board of directors.
As the IT development manager at Madfoo3atCom, I’m responsible for managing the activities in the IT department in terms of software, hardware, and networking.
Moreover, and as Madfoo3atCom is moving forward in the area of electronic payments, I’m responsible for bringing in the most qualified people in this field, building strong development and testing teams, design the best software solutions, and put the strategy for the IT department that is aligned with the organization architectural plans.
Manage and promote relationships with key stakeholders - including clients - is one of the most important objectives I’m focusing on, also to ensure business solutions are 'fit for purpose', and develop and deliver solutions according to the approved works programme with adherence to time, cost, regulatory and quality parameters.
Other responsibilities:
- Train and develop team member capability to improve skills and performance.
- Remain abreast of technology and provide technology thought leadership.
- Be responsible for product maintenance and management.
- Business co-operation, continuous improvement and service delivery.
- Strategic planning.
As a team leader I was mainly responsible for leading the .Net development team to deliver successful solutions and software applications.
As part of my work I used to prepare reports for higher management and prepare plans and estimations for different project handled by the development department, also interpret written business requirements and technical specifications documents and update the team technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses.
Also coordinating with other staff members like project managers, system analysts, architectures, database admin, sales, marketing, and graphic artists was part of my daily tasks.
As a member of the development team, I had the chance to work on different types of projects as well as using the most recent technologies and development tools available in the market.
EastNets as a SWIFT partner and Microsoft partner and also as specialists in AML, Profiling, Filtering, and Financial messaging exchange applications, gave me the chance to know more about financial processes and transactions and allowed me to gain more experience in this field.
Designing and creating information systems for financial trading over internet in order to give the brokers and the regular customers the ability to trade, submit, and manage orders over various markets, beside managing tasks, and reporting higher management.
I have filled the position of .Net Team Leader several times, which gave me the experience behind leading a team and distribute tasks and monitor working processes and deliverables.
Implementing Software Solutions for different kinds of business, producing various applications, Database, desktop, and multimedia for small and medium business institutions, applying analysis and design, proposing plans for resources, risk, and change management, quantitative and qualitative studies.
Working in software development in ACE, gave me the ability to work in several kinds of projects and use various types of platforms and programming languages such as Visual basic, Visual basic .Net, C++, and MS-SQL.
Teaching several materials for MIS, AIS, and I.T students, supervising graduate projects for I.T students; as well as participating in I.T projects and events.
Managing LAN, WAN connections and users accounts, applying policies, monitoring, groups and privileges, software & hardware updates, and generating reports for high administration.
