Preparation of CFP (computerized flight plan) and filing with local Air Traffic Service (ATS) Unit/ Pre flight information Unit (PFIU).
Brief the Pilot-in-Command in flight preparation and provide the relevant information. In the event of an emergency, initiate such procedures as may be outlined in the Operations Manual.
Develops and initiates recovery plans for operational irregularities e.g. delays, diversions, disruptions, cancellations, etc. in such a manner that integrity of schedule is affected.
To obtain over fly and landing permission for non-schedule operations .e.g., re-routed/extra sections/ferry/positioning flights etc.
To provide and brief NOTAMS and Weather to Cockpit Crew.
Preparation of Daily Performance Report and Aircraft movement summary.
Calculate Air Time from flight log book.
