medical Radiographer
Provides radiology services by directing and coordinating the services of radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures, overseeing staff in operation of imaging equipment and machineries.
•Accomplishes human resource and administrator objectives such as orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and disciplining staffs.
•Communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contribution, recommending compensation action and adhering to policies and procedures.
•Meet radiology operation standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality patient service standards, resolving problems identifying system improvements.
•Meet radiology financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures and recommending corrective actions.
•Support patient care by resolving radiology issues with physicians and colleagues, improving and maintaining quality assurance for department functions.
•Improve quality results by evaluating accuracy and quality of images.
•Provides monthly statistic reports by controlling the collection of treatment and procedures.
•Provide a safe environment, applied principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
•Responsible in maintaining records, respecting confidentiality and established policy, Serves and protects the Medical center community by ensuring adherence to professional standards.
•Performs special and diagnostic radiographic procedures, correct setting for each examination, position, and proper instruction to patients to ensure quality images.
•Perform and operate mobile x-ray equipment in the operating room, emergency room or at bedside. Proper immobilization and supportive devices such as sandbags, binders, and angle bands to obtain the precise position and prevent patient from moving and lessen discomfort
•Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
•Perform ECG and spirometric examination.
•Provide patient education and update job knowledge by participating in continuing professional education, quarterly presentation, department quality assessment, improvement plan and participating in professional organization.
