2005-2011: Director of Operations and Production Services facilities at Al Jazeera Children Channel (JCC) & Baraem - Qatar Foundation:
• As part of the executive management team, key aspect to my role is to provide input to the development of JCC strategy. I developed operational strategy in close consultation with the Board and Executive Senior Management and in alignment with JCC’s organizational vision and mission.
• Lead the Operations Department through directing the planning and execution of all in-house production activities for JCC and Qatar Foundation.
• Improved operational efficiency through monitoring revenue margins and worker productivity, as well as implementing new directives for growth.
• Setting guidelines for personnel evaluations, recruitment and development.
• Participated in the successful launch of Al Fakhoora, part of Qatar Foundation's initiatives to support the children of Gaza in education and safety.
• JCC representative member for the steering committee in charge of launching the first edition of the Qatar Career Fair 2007.
• 2008 - 2010 Part of the committee to develop television and broadcast services in government television networks.
1984-2006: Presenter & Producer on Qatar Television:
• Presented & produced a number of entertainment and social programs in addition to news bulletins and other different activities in line with developing the media sector.
1996-2004: Operations Manager at Al Jazeera Network:
• Overlooked the launch of Al Jazeera News Channel - Arabic, Al Jazeera Sports Channel and Al Jazeera Documentary Channel.
• Managed 10 Sections & Units with more than 250 employees and overlooked the daily operations.
• Overlooked the production services which covered: Film Making (Docudrama, Short/Long Corporate Documentaries), Pre/Post-Production, Graphics Design, Virtual and Live Studio transmission, outdoor broadcast services, and corporate events organization.
• Spokesperson for Al Jazeera Satellite Channel during the launch phase.
Training and Development: 1- February 2014 completed an IllafTrain Trainer Certification Training to be a “Certified Trainer”. 2- September 2011 attended professional MBA leadership training for executives and senior executives through the Institute of Leadership Management. 3- Attended and completed a number of courses and workshops in media and business administration locally, regionally and internationally. 4- Attended and participated in a number of local, regional and global exhibitions and conferences in the areas of operations and media production.
