I have been providing consultation in lab construction; project management and real estate and property management.
-Provided consultation in lab construction and commissioning for a medical imaging Lab.
-Concluded a solar panel installation project of 5.4KW.
-Laboratory Manager, Red Sea Research Center (RSRC)
- Managed all aspects of laboratory operations and provide quality technical advice and support to
faculty, staff and students on all matters of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Administered and maintain the life cycle of RSRC’s physical assets, equipment and instrumentation
from end to end, oversee the inventory records and ensure all repairs or retirements are promptly
carried out in timely and cost-effective manner.
- Promoted a culture of safety and ensure the effective implementation and operation of KAUST HSE regulations (safety inspection and audits on facility, equipment and procedures, SOPs, trainings, waste
management …etc.).
- Worked closely with faculty to anticipate the future equipment needs for the Center research activities.
- Coordinated with related stakeholders and Departments in KAUST to make consistent availability of needed services, materials and supplies.
- Managed facility improvement in close coordination with Center Director and faculty to identify new projects to streamline operations, warrant safety and optimize the utilization of available resources:
• Increased research and storage space in RSRC by about 20%, nearly 2MM USD in savings.
• Executed green projects to save power and cut operational cost.
- Laboratory Development Coordinator, Laboratory Design and Development (LDD)
- Served as a member on KAUST Academic Space & Equipment Planning Committee (ASEPC).
- Worked directly with ASEPC members to achieve KAUST strategic goals as it relates to LDD.
- Provided support to new Faculty in terms of technical & planning resource allocation and prepared the new laboratory scope of work package in accordance with internal regulations.
- Participated in review and progress follow-up meetings on all aspects of LDD (design sessions, budget allocation, procurement, safety & risk analysis...etc.).
- Assets Lead, Laboratory Equipment and Assets Management (LEAM)
- Developed asset management procedures and defined maintenance strategies
- Negotiated terms and concluded maintenance contracts with service providers.
- A Key Emergency Response Team (ERT) Member
- Led the supply chain operations management in USA and Europe and interacted effectively with supply chain partners (manufactures, government authorities, airline agencies, expeditors, and freight
forwarders) to expedite the velocity of goods flow to KAUST.
- Sourced out research materials and professionally found alternatives.
- Designed research projects on biomarker and environmental agent detection, ion chemistry, gas phase chemistry, structural elucidation and tandem mass spectrometry.
- Prepared manuscripts/posters and published results in peer reviewed journals and conferences.
- Participated in the development of first year Chemistry curriculum and established a student educational improvement plan.
- Led undergraduate Chemistry laboratories and supervised up to 24 students per session.

- Participated as a research assistant on the national project “Suitability (Health) of Plastics Used in Food and Pharmaceuticals Packaging in Jordan”.
- Prepared survey questioners, conducted field visits with local food and pharmaceutical industries and collected research data and packaging samples.
