The scope of work involves the excavation of the trench (approx. 3.12 km for
former and 1.147km for latter) in various widths to accommodate and install
client supplied supply and return pre-insulated HDPE pipes (Ø 950- Ø 250mm)
with all associated fittings, valves and accessories including all mechanical and
civil works such as construction of valve chambers, draw pits, protection slab,
backfilling, Trench sheeting, Cofferdam construction, Reinstatement works,
NDRC works, Tie-in connection between the new district cooling pipe network
and the existing operational chilled water plant (Hot tapping) including Testing
and Commissioning works.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise activities on site in a timely manner and record/report daily progress
or concern to higher management.
* Review and understand project specifications and use all approved drawings
for efficient and compliant execution of works.
* Prepare method statements in consultation with project engineer and the
same to be approved by consultant for execution of work.
* Responsible for daily site quantity calculation to forecast material / labor /
equipment requirement.
* Assist and ensure all surveying works i.e. pipe leveling/ demarcation as well
as other existing and future installations are well coordinated for efficient
execution of project works.
* Assist and implement quality and safety procedures in project as per
company QHSE policy.
* Carrying out quality inspection of materials to be used at site before
installation.
* Responsible for distribution of manpower to achieve set goals and deadline.
* Carry out specified inspections to ensure quality records are maintained and
signed off by project manager and consultants.
Receive Tender documents (Drawings + Specification + Bill of quantities)
pertaining to mechanical works.
* Review the tender documents and ensure that all data required for techno-
commercial submission are available.
*Arranging for and attending site visits. Prepare detailed site visit report and
attending clarification meetings with client.
* Prepare technical queries such as details, missing documents pertaining to
the tender.
* Send enquiries to the specified/non-specified suppliers for materials and
equipment.
* Follow up and receive quotation from various suppliers.
* Prepare technical evaluation of different quotations received and evaluation
against the tender specifications.
* Preparing quantity take-off from drawings as per project BOQ.
* Preparation of the tender schedule, manpower histogram, equipment
schedule, organization chart with accompanying CVs of proposed qualified
personnel.
* Prepare value engineering proposals.
* Participate in preparing Project Execution Plan/Method statements by
providing draft proposal data to milestone and participate in milestone schedule
preparation.
* After sending technical or/and commercial and during technical and
commercial evaluation by the Client, prepare the reply to the clarification
requests issued by the Client regarding the submitted tender and attend post
clarification meeting.
