Reviews and gives approvals for all mechanical related submissions by the contractor.
Verifies that materials, manufactured goods, machinery, equipment, etc supplied to the job site are in line with projects specification and granted approvals.
Ensures that the mechanical drawings are in line and coordinated with other discipline design drawings of the project prior proceeding with work and to highlight to the project manager of any discrepancies for necessary corrections.
Inspects site for mechanical work/installations and ensures that the carried out works are in compliance with contract drawings and documents. Advises the Project Manager on the progress any monitored discrepancies.
Conducts site visits to advise Project Managers of any field issues and attends any co-ordination meetings required.
Observes and witnesses all buried services and gives approval prior to concreting/filling.
Arranges for samples of workmanship and establishes minimum acceptable standards.
Advises Project Manager on requirements and programming of all services and co-ordinates the actions of contractor, the relevant authorities and all other sub-contractors and services involved.
Assist and provides necessary data/information required by the project manger for the Preparation of reports (includes labour and supervision, plant and equipment, status, site progress, amendments, delays, etc.) for submission to Client.
Advises Project Manager on progress of mechanical work and suggests actions.
Inspects and attends maintenance works during maintenance and defect liability period.
Reviews Operations and Maintenance Manuals, as built drawings for completeness of documents.
Report Health Safety Environment violations, identified hazards and its risk of getting harm, accident and incident, near miss incident and any HSE matters that requires further attention and action, to the Project Manager and RE/CE/HSE.
Participation and compliance on all Health Safety Environment programs being implemented.
HSE awareness for emergency action plan and duty of care.
Any other duties required for the successful completion of works.
Internal:
• Works and confers with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure works are carried out as required in contracts
• Co-ordinates with other Mechanical Engineers on un-resolved technical issues.
External:
• Liaises with contractors to meet requirements of contract

• Role involves review of contractor's technical material submittal and shop drawings.
• Monitoring, inspection, witness test and approve mechanical system site installation.
• Audit and monitor the construction activities of the contractor and to ensure that it is adherence to approved shop drawings, project specifications and Qatar construction standards.
• Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection record with photographs.
• Inspect the materials delivered to the site (MDS) for installation and verify its conformance to specifications and ensuring that the quality of materials at site is properly maintain and installed in accordance to approved method of statement and/or manufacturer's recommendation.
• Prepare and issue non-conformance report (NCR) and site observation notice (SON) for any works being done or having completed not in accordance with the approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor the contractor’s compliance to the project HSE rules, safety plans and standards during execution of all site activities.
• Inspect and witness and/or approve the testing & commissioning of all installed mechanical services of the project.
• Review of close-out documents such as O & M manuals and as-built drawings.
• In-charge and manage the daily construction of the project (in a sub-contractor role) that includes engineering, procurement and installation of the mechanical services.
• Monitoring the work activities through site engineers and site QA/QC engineers and to ensure that the works are undertaken in a safe manner utilizing the project specific safety plan and complying with the project specifications and standards.
• Monitor project’s weekly progress and ensures that all schedules are met on time or ahead of the given schedule of the client.
• Prepare a timely regular and accurate reporting on the project progress, quality and cost.
• Monitoring and controlling changes/variations following client’s approval.
• Review of project shop drawings and material submittals prior to submission to the consultants.
• Define project materials, manpower, equipment needed to complete the work assigned on time without delays.
• Ensure that the materials required at site are available and as per project specification as indicated in the technical material submittals.
• Review of close-out documents such as O &M Manuals, as-built drawings, guarantee/warranties, authority approvals, spare parts, practical training to client’s facilities management team and testing/commissioning reports.

• Role involves monitoring and supervise the daily activities of the Mechanical Sub-Contractor through site surveillance to insure that the work implemented in the site is in compliance with the project contract, specifications, construction standards, approved shop drawings, method of statement and MEP program of work.
• Reviewing of sub-contractor’s technical material submittals and shop drawings prior to submission to the consultants.
• Conduct pre-inspection of materials delivered to the site by the sub-contractor prior to the submission of materials inspection request to the consultant.
• Ensuring that the quality of materials at site is properly maintain and installed in accordance to approved method of statement before it will be requested for work inspection by the consultants.
• Produce construction progress reports in corresponds to work completed, manpower, equipment, materials at site and also highlighting issues that slowdown the project progress.
• Coordinate with the project consultant, main contractor and sub-contractor to resolve issues at site

• Role involves managing the daily construction operation of the group of skilled mechanical workers that perform the installation of the mechanical utilities (HVAC) of the project and ensure that all of them are executing the works in accordance with the approved shop drawings, method of statement and standards.
• Monitoring the work activities and to ensure that the works are undertaken in a safe manner utilizing the project specific safety plan.
• Define project materials, manpower, equipment needed to complete the work assigned on time without delays.
• Preparation of daily program and site diaries which includes activities happened on site to produce records for analysis.
• Review the project shop drawings prior to the submission to the consultants.
• Produce a weekly and monthly HVAC construction progress reports.
• Coordinate with the project consultants/inspectors for the completed works to be inspected.

• Role involves monitoring and supervise the daily activities of the mechanical contractor (HVAC, plumbing, drainage & fire Fighting) through site surveillance to insure that the work implemented in the site is in compliance with the project contract, specifications, construction standards, approved shop drawings and method of statement.
• Review and approval of sub-contractor’s technical material submittals and shop drawings.
• Conduct inspection of materials delivered to the site by the contractor and ensure that it is complying with the approved submittals and ensuring that the quality of materials at site is properly maintain and installed in accordance to approved method of statement.
• Conduct inspection and approval of work completed as indicated in the request for inspection (RFI).
• Produce construction progress reports in corresponds to work completed, manpower, equipment, materials at site and also highlighting issues that slowdown the project progress.
• Produce an inspection logs/records, daily work activities, and inspection milestone.
• Coordinate with the client representatives, project designers and contractors to resolve issues at site.
• Review and recommending approval of Contractor’s project accomplishment for progress billings.
• Prepare and issue non-conformance report (NCR) and site observation report (SOR) for any works being done or having completed not in accordance with the approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Witness and certified all the field testing, start-up, pre- commissioning & commissioning.
• Reviewing as-built drawings, spare parts and O&M manuals.
