- Continuous market watch against movement of raw materials prices in Chinese and European markets.

Purchase & Supply Chain
•Team Lead for Centralized Purchasing and supply chain management for IMC group.
•Process owner for successful implementation of SAP in MM module for IMC group companies.
•Responsible for defining & implementing Purchasing & logistics policies, organization, Process, and set objectives, for Purchasing and supply chain functions would be aligned with organization goals & Objectives.
•Responsible for day to day Purchasing & Procurement activities at manufacturing sites for both wet & dry performance minerals separation plants located in southern part of tamilnadu.
• Implement Sourcing /Negotiation strategy for cost optimization.
• Ensure Cost Effective Purchasing for all the plants which includes Raw materials/Engineering Spares /Consumables /Capex/Packing/Transport)
•Ensure Service orders in place at right time and intervals (AMC / Service Contracts for major/critical Machineries/Equipment’s /Instruments/ Utilities /Warehouse/packing/Transport)
•Define & implement appropriate inventory management system in place and ensure ROL, safety stock.
•Identifying the Critical Spares/Consumables required for the plant Operations by VED/VEIN/ABC analysis.

•Ensure to deliver the materials on time for successful completion of projects as per the completion schedule.

Responsible for Brown Field / Expansion project. Modernization of MS Billet production house of capacity 100 MT per day in to Integrated TMT Rebar production unit with capacity of 10000MT per annum. Handled all Capex orders related to this expansion project.

Functioned as category lead for Capital and MRO spares requirements in SGGI Sriperumbudur & Tada plant operations.

Indigenisation:
- Developing alternate domestic suppliers for imported machine tools whereby developed 9 parts involving in purchasing of Diamond Tool from Spain & Wear Plates from Germany; this resulted in cost benefit to the tune of 1MN INR.
- Indigenizing the Rod Mill Liners for SGGI - TADA plant operations, resulting in cost benefit worth 0.7MN INR.
- Reducing the consumption of steel rods for crushing the sand by sourcing special grade steel and increasing the yield up to consumption of steel rods reduction by 3.5 tones/month & 1.5 MN INR /annum savings in Rod Mill Liner operations.
Evolved a change in the sourcing strategy whereby adopted to purchasing of consumables like MS Rods /Channels/Angles/Sheets//Bearings/Belts, Capital Machineries and its spares from OEM/ Distributors/Dealers, this initiative resulted in cost benefit worth of 5 MN INR.

Highlights:
•Successful in receiving an approval from the management for purchasing Nickel Anodes from major importers in India by adopting commodity based sourcing strategy this resulted in reduction of inventory from 8 weeks to 1 week. Ensured the price of the commodity based on LME Index.
•Developed suppliers for surface finishing operations including Painting & Powder Coating for Army vehicles (which could be painted in Olive Green as per the Indian Army specifications & standards).
•Initiated & implementation of Hard Plywood Pallets for packing the vehicles for exports by replacing existing silver wood packing; this resulted in reduction of Rs. 60 /vehicle along with an annual saving of Rs. 3.6 Lakhs. Durability and Quality of packing looks perfect.
