DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
>Assisting for all type of surgical cases like gynae, ortho, uro, ent, eye, plastic, general and neuro cases.
•Attending the personal requirement of the patients.
•Maintain confidential report of each staff.
•Attends Rounds with doctors and other staffs.
•Report to supervisor about functioning of ward and patient care.
•Problem solving
•Maintain register up to date.
•Receiving patients in to the unit on admission.
•Provide orientation and psychological support.
•Meet priority needs of the patient
•Monitoring of intake and output balance
•Cannulation of AV Fistula & perm cath
•Open suctioning
•Catheterization
•Insertion of Rhyles tube
•Oxygen administration
•Medication administration
•Preapring patients for surgical procedures
•Care of pre and post operative patients
•Blood transfusion through various types of filters
•Blood collection
•Discharge and transfer to other hospital

CLINICAL DUTIES EXPERIENCE
As A Scrub & Circulating Nurse
•Assist surgeons in minor/major operations as being scrub/ or
circulating nurse.
• Initiate protections of safety rights of patients admitted to the
operating room.
•Count sponges, sharps and other related miscellaneous items audibly
and view concurrently by two staffs.
•Account instruments to facilitate inventory control removed from the room during the end of the procedure.
•Prepare instruments needed prior to surgery.
•Perform draping to cover all exposed unsterile areas of the patient.
•Monitor the movement around the sterile field.
•Monitor proper use, handling, and disposal of contaminated objects and supplies.
•Ensure that the patient looks neat and clean before transferring from operating theatre to the recovery room.
•Provide direct nursing care to post-operative patient.
• Preserve and label specimen taken during the surgery.
• Ensure that patient is properly conducted out from operating room
after the procedure.
•Ensure that operating room is kept scrupulously clean
