Responsibility: Working for 4XTM2500 Open cycle Project as EPC subcontractor to GE Power Solutions LLC Oman. Contract negotiations with GE leading to signature of the contract. Commercial obligations of the project being coordinated with Technical, Finance and Contracts team. Contractual obligations including but not limited to Variations, Invoicing insurances being looked after.
Responsibility: Working with the proposal/tendering team and involved in bid preparation and bid submittal. Estimating and pricing of civil/structural items for the bid with support from estimators and design engineers, preparing preliminary project execution plans, construction plans, provide support to the planner to generate preliminary manpower and equipment histograms, L2 schedule, S-Curves. Attending pre-bid and post bid meeting with the client/company and site visit as required. Preparing and giving presentations to client/company with respect to company profile and construction sequence as required. Highlights: Participated in the following bids in Kuwait and other countries: (a) Upgradation of Power Plant, Oman Cement at Oman.
Responsibility Worked as Site Manager for the JV of Elecnor and Alghanim. The project was first of its kind in Kuwait for the engineering, procurement & construction of 10MW Wind farm Project at Shagaya Renewable Energy Park in Kuwait. The wind turbines were supplied, erected and operated by GAMESA (nowadays Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy). Responsibilities included coordination of all civil, electrical and mechanical work activities at site, coordinating with client KISR and consultant Worley Parsons for successful completion of the project. Preliminary Acceptance Certificate (PAC) for the project was received on July 2017. Thereafter Operation and Maintenance contract for seven years is being handled by the JV.
Responsibility Worked as contractor's engineer for 2 x 200 MW Add-on Combined cycle gas power plant at South Azzour, Kuwait. The main EPC contractor was Al-Ghanim International and the main supplier for the Steam turbine, HRSG and Bypass Stack was ALSTOM (Nowadays GE). Kuljian Corporation were the detailed design engineering consultant for the plant. Main responsibilities include design and construction coordination with client and home office. Main structures included the Steam Turbine foundations, HRSG and Bypass stack foundations, Piperacks, Main Power Building and other BOP Buildings, cable ducts and pipe trenches, cooling towers, CW Pump House.
Responsibility
•Successfully completed assignment as Resident Engineer for civil works for 105 MW combined cycle gas power plant project in Phase 2 of Samra Electric Power Company Jordan. The EPC contractor was M/s. SEPCO III (Chinese). Responsibilities included actively monitoring the project controlling and inspecting all aspects of civil works in a power plant with strict adherence to American and international codes. Proactively involved in inspection and supervising concreting of TG foundation, boiler foundation, concreting and structural erection of Main Power Building, DM Plant and staff administrative building. Also involved in approving site quality plans for the civil works of the contractor and coordinating weekly progress review meetings and liaising with the owner. Checking and certification of contractor's invoices also formed part of my responsibility.
•Completed assignment for 2 X 145 MW simple cycle gas power plant in Phase 3 of Samra Electric Power Company Jordan. The EPC contractor was M/s. HANWHA of South Korea. All work was executed and monitored by us as per American codes and other international standards. Proactive monitoring the progress to achieve COD forms part of the responsibility. Inspected and supervised concreting of GTG foundations, electric control building. All plant roads and drainage system connecting with the existing services was also completed.
Responsibility Involved in drawing management and quantity estimation and billing to client for modernization project of Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur. Supervision of site activities in the steel plant under consortium head M/s. Mannesmann Demag of Germany. Notice Period (With present Employer)
