• Take quotations from inspection agencies like SGS, Bureau Veritas and arrange a pre-shipment inspection for the shipments.
• Negotiate pricing with local carriers, Forwarders, and third-party agencies.
• Evaluate & select freight forwarders based on rates & services offered by them.
• Plan quickest and least costly transport routes.
• Coordinate export shipments from origin to final destination.
• Keep track and follow up on all clearing activities.

• Follow-up with agent/ forwarder for transport documents like Bill of Lading/TCN & other certification required from the carrier or its agent.
• Process all necessary documents in an efficient, cost-effective & lawful manner complying with the security measures dictated either by law or by clients
• Ensure that all guidelines are followed for documentation compliances for cost reduction.
• Coordinate with marketing team to ensure L/C amendments in time in order to avoid any discrepancies later in the documents.
• Ensure completion of all checks and documentation required as per UCP 600.
• Coordinate with the customer and accounts department on payment.
• Understand & respond promptly to the internal or external clients needs by coordinating with the marketing team, forwarder/agent, third-party logistics provider & different shipping lines. keep the internal/external stakeholders informed of the status.
• Maintain a Customer-centric approach by avoiding an occurrence of errors & delays ensuring that all the requirements and conditions of the documentation process have been complied with.
• Complete work in a thorough, accurate & timely manner that achieves an expected outcome.
• Always keep MIS & other reports updated.
• Submit documents on time. & verify it thoroughly before submission.

Handling Finished Goods and Dispatch Section: (INBOUND, OUTBOUND & STORAGE)
• Plan, assign, supervise & review the work of all staff under direct or indirect control to maintain an efficient flow of activities.
• Oversee all activities of the warehouse such as the inventory of stocks, bagging of finished goods, loading of export containers and local deliveries, unloading of import containers & arrangement of stocks.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and safety procedures in the warehouse
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes and audit of same to verify results
• Coordinate & follow up with agent/forwarder for placement of containers & trailers and ensure that the empty containers placed are in sound condition and trailers loaded with the material are covered by tarpaulin before leaving the premises.
• Coordinate with Quality Control personnel for inspection of material as and when needed.
• Coordinate with production personnel for bagging and recharging of chips.
• Make arrangement for unloading of import containers & ensure that material is stored safely in proper location adhering to storage design principles that would facilitate speedier operations.
• Identify material for next day dispatch and make arrangements for shifting & staging of material in the allotted area and prepare packing list for the same.
• Ensure that cleanliness & orderliness is maintained at work premises
• Prepare consolidated warehouse reports including daily bagging report, daily dispatch report, daily charging report and stock reports.
• Perform tasks in ERP system Orion like creating work orders, generating production slips, production reporting, creating delivery challans & raising purchase requisitions
• Follow-up with purchase personnel to ensure on-time availability of items for the smooth functioning of warehouse activities which includes office stationary, items for workers safety as well as items for reach stacker & forklift maintenance.
