Company and Project Occupational Health Physician Duties include:  Attend to medical needs of employees, conduct thorough history & complete physical examination, provide healthcare and carry out first aid especially in cases of emergency. Accompany patients to the hospital/diagnostic clinic if emergency intervention, not available in the company clinic, is needed. Monitor ongoing medical treatment, diagnostic studies, conduct clinical assessment of abnormal results, and follow up with or refer patients as appropriate to specialists. Coordinate with accredited hospitals and clinics regarding laboratory and diagnostic test requests and referrals to specialists. Oversee maintenance of case histories, health examination reports, and other medical records. Direct plans and coordinate the company’s medical activities such as diagnosing and treating work related illnesses and injuries of employees and conducting fitness-for-duty or annual physical examinations and diagnostic work ups. Do daily rounds with the nurse to take vital signs of employees and monitor progress especially those who are on maintenance medications. Administer vaccines and advise employees on disease prevention. Inspect facilities together with the safety officers and make recommendations regarding sanitation and elimination of health hazards. Conduct lectures on certain diseases or injuries, their nature, causes, treatments and preventions. Suggest and/or Implement programs together with the safety team for prevention and/or elimination of health hazards. Conduct a thorough history and complete physical examination of patients for pre-employment medical examination. Attend to medical needs of company employees and their relatives. Evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic test results and correlate if necessary with subjective and objective findings. Prescribe appropriate medications and supplements as well as non-pharmacologic treatments to patients and instruct them on proper usage. Decide whether a patient is physically fit, fit to initiate work, fit to resume work or unfit and depending on guidelines imposed by the Department of Health for OFWs and seafarers. Approve or recommend sick leaves for employees if needed. Appointed as Head of the Medical team for Makati Diamond Residences project composed of 7 nurses from DMCi itself and from subcontractors.
