Responsible for IT Operation for AFI group of companies for both application and infrastructure.
• Alaa for industry(AFI) is a group of companies, its main business is industrial supplies for GAS & Oil, Transportation, Maintenance, capital equipment , it has the following companies : AFI International Trading, AFI industrial Equipment Factory, AFI Rubber Factory, AFI contracting company, AFI Foundation Equipment and AFI Rental company.
I am responsible for IT management reporting to Operation Manager(COO) . Main activity is:
1- Implementation of BaaN ERP into new companies and branches.
2- Optimization of BaaN ERP according to business needs.
3- Support of BaaN ERP.
4- Management of Infrastructure of IT in AFI group.
5- Decision making for any new purchases of hardware/Softwrae.
6- Managing IT department.
7- Budgeting of IT department.
8- Disaster recovery planning.
9- Information security development and enhancement.
This is a new company established in July'2006 with 300 million Saudi Riyals capital. It is part of Saad Group of Companies.
I am responsible for IT managenet as reporting to general manager. Main activity is :
1- Evalutaion and selection of Financial ERP for the company.
2- Developement of special leasing package which will be integrated with the ERP.
3- plan and recruite the required IT staff and development of IT organizational chart.
Responsible for two departments : Application support and technical support. review and enhancement for the current applications and network and hardware infrastructure. reporting to GM, two managers report to me (Application support manager and technical support manager). Managing the following application : BaaN IV ERP, Uincom (HRMS), SAFNET(Growout package), MPS (Manufacturing processing system),
Managing the following support services : Networking which includes wireless communications, fiber cables, LAN, WAN, security of information, Backup and Recovery, Hardware, E-MAIL, Internet Access, Microsoft applications )Office, outlook, project...etc), Internet cafe. VOIP and Video conferencing.

Area of Experience:
-Project Manager of Implementation BaaN ERP Application (Sep’1998-Dec’2000). This includes Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution, Service and HRMS modules.
-New Networking & Hardware Infrastructure Project Management for the entire organization (Sep’1998-April’1999). This includes connection to the plant using Fiber optics cables.
-New WAN connectivity and security Infrastructure between Dammam & Jeddah Plants & through Internet including voice over IP & VPN.

-Manage and develop IT staff to coop with the required technology.
-New software implementation or development of current application.
-Develop and manage Information security measures internally and externally. This includes Cisco PIX Firewall, Cisco ACS server and Intruder Detection Server (IDS).

-Deployment of Time clock management system and security locks system (Secure Perfect)
