• Manage the facade design development from concept design feasibility to final proposals.
• involved with ability issues and value engineering related to the external envelope.
• Propose cost effective design solutions, strategies and management systems, under client/design requirements umbrella.
• To advise commercial and project managers on risks, potentially critical design items, and/or opportunity for commercial benefits.
• Preparing and analyzing costings of estimates.
• Attend specification/design meetings with Architects, Specialist Contractors, Consultants and Client's representative.
• Managing and controlling the Design and Technical Department ( Material submittal, Shop drawings, Material take off, Fabrication orders, cutting lists, Optimizations, As built drawings, etc..
• Managing and controlling Estimation Department (ensure understanding the received data, drawings, quantities, budget lists, specification, structural needs, Design requirments, etc.)
• Liaise with Designers and Facade Engineers to ensure that information is provided for design related items and for updating build drawings.
• To ensure delivering the envelope in accordance with the Client's expectations and project specification (design intent, quality & budget)
• Demonstrates continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Build, grow and develop business relationships for the success of firm, Provide feedback and record information from the project for 'lessons learnt seminars' and for continuous staff development.
• Support Sales Executives to close their work-out projects by assisting them on technical aspect.
• Follow-up with the Contractors / Clients on the submitted quotations as part of the negotiation process and ensure the understanding of technical aspects.
Besides my long-list duties as a Design Manager, my sufficient technical experience indicated in the conclusion above along with my high ability in managing and technical skills had qualified me for leading and improving the Production/fabrication department, turning all released works through the technical department into well-fabricated units, and made it ready for delivery and Installation, supervision full team of workers and production machines lines, I also did place full control system for recording, distributing works, improve the assets of the factory and develop the production lines through bring new machines, stabilize fabrication standards and derive new techniques, to keep the firm up in this high-competitivity market, I did develop quality control system and achieve ISO accreditation, being involved in such thing helped me to increase my experience in different aspects.
-Studying, Designing and Detailing all projects that coming to the company and give full recomendation and support to Estimation department during price qoutation works.
-Leading the projects technically over all work stages (Shop-Drawing, Bill of materials, Fabrication orders, Glass orders, As-built drawings..etc) in addition to coordinating with all other departments to keep the works moving on, up to handover the work.
-Giving full support to the contractors by represent them as a one team in front of consultant/owner representatives, beside full coordination with all concerned by site meetings, office meetings..etc..
• Designing and Detailing of Facade Curtain Wall, Skylights, windows, and doors.
• Designing and detailing Aluminum Cladding Systems.
• Preparing Shop Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Job Orders, and Cutting Lists of Façade works.
• Preparing Material, Accessories, and Glass Take-off.
• Professional in ORGADATA-LOGICAL software for Façade works, that are used for Cutting Lists,
Optimization, and Material Take-off.
• Working with All Aluminum Façades systems like Schüco, Technal, Alu-K, Alumil, Alupco &Smart.
• Coordinating with operations depts. to run the project smoothly, and ensure on-time deliverables.
• Involving with the concerned for any Suspect Variations, variation orders, and approvals.
-Designing detailed architectural drawings for residential and commercial construction projects.
-Preparing architectural drawings based on building specifications, calculations and sketches.
-Visiting to construction sites to asses measurements and dimensions as needed.
-Preparing building specifications in accordance with codes, for architectural design.
-Using CAD Software and conventional drafting station to prepare drawings, charts and records.
-Preparing electrical and structural designs to incorporate into architectural drawings.
-Cooperating with architect to ensure that construction project is in accordance with design specifications.
My responsibilities was included preparing Architectural drawings, detailed drawings, 3D modeling and rendering, coordinate with Architects and site Engineers to ensure that the project is working as per specification and time schedule, finalize all drawings according to building Code to submitt it for approval from concerned sides .
