Ensures the effective delivery of competent care to assigned patients. Assists with all procedures performed in the Urology Department. Takes the nursing history, summarises data, and states nursing diagnoses and patient care needs. Observes and records signs, symptoms, and behaviours. Executes plan of care for all assigned patients; safely and properly administers medications and treatments. Performs admission, discharge and transfer procedures, and assists others with patient's activities and care. Notifies appropriate nursing and medical staff to changes in the patient's status. Performs duties and assumes responsibility for care of assigned patients. Documents nursing care in all assigned patient records. Maintains patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times. Evaluates care given including the patient response.Reassesses and documents any proposed revision of care and desired outcomes. Demonstrates ability to assess patient's understanding of and compliance with instructions and health care teaching. Performs related and other duties as required.Familiar with the sterility, aseptic techniques, and infection control management. Incorporates these practices and guidelines into the daily work patterns.Participates in accreditation.
Assists with all Urology procedures.Provides clinical care and education for the patient with catheter changes, self catheterisation, and trial without cathete. Participates in Data collection, statistical reporting and outcomes.
From July I am transferred to ICU where I deal with surgery patients who needs to be in ICU
In this hospital I pass through several departments: surgery, surgical ICU, pulmology and finally respiratory ICU (charge nurse from July 2015.)I was responsible to organize and conduct certain diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation procedures for patients, performs specific health care patient, responsible for the correct implementation of medical orders, performing complex diagnostic procedure that is trained, assists the physician during interventions and examination of the patient to actively participate in the preparation of the patient for all invasive procedures, controls and monitors the parameter vital functions and registers them at appropriate intervals and their changes informs the doctor realized the administered therapy, takes blood for blood group and interact, perform application of blood and bloodcomponents, participate in CPR procedures, maintain medical documentation and records, to actively participate in the preparation of the patient and the appropriate medical documentation for consultative examinations, organizing care of the deceased in accordance with established procedure, plans to consumption of drugs and consumables material for requisition and forwarded to the head nurse department, supervise and control the consumption of drugs and other material, prepares and ensures the proper use of medical equipment malfunction appliance logs the head nurse department, working on their own training, participate in the practical training of students and participants of the medical school, participates in the training of nurses trainees, providing education and support to patient families, ensures documentation is current, accurate, timely and maintains confidentiality within a legal and ethical framework, takes responsibility for maintaining own professional development updating knowledge to reflect best practice, and sharing knowledge with others, Contributes to the support, direction and teaching of colleagues to enhance professional development provides nursing care according to plan and undertakes clinical practice procedures and skills in a competent and safe way, responsible for the maintenance of hygiene facilities and departments, if necessary, calculates the cost of medicines and other materials referred to in the discharge diagnosis at discharge patients as well as other tasks as requested by the head nurse or department section chief
I was working with children from five to ten years old.My tasks was, personal hygiene, and daily activities(preparation for physical therapy, remain corrective position on therapist demand, etc)
Scheduling appointments, sampling blood for biochemical laboratory and providing therapy treatments(usually parenteral therapy or bandaging small wounds), home visits with doctor, IV therapy in home.
Work with surgical patients after mastectomy or abdominal surgery. Also there were oncology patients whose condition was exacerbated by the chemotherapy.As a head nurse my duty was also to provide care for patients, take care of medicines and medical supplies, assistance to a doctor in small surgical interventions(remove moles, keratoses and ingrown toenails)
