• Responsible for ordering and receiving stock.
• Store room and back-up stocks must be well organized to reduce the chances of items being missed or double counted during stock taking. The same products must be kept at one location by category and then by brand. (E.g. all drinks in one area, all Pepsi cans in one stack in one place.
• Keep the store rooms secure at all times. Suppliers' representatives must not enter the store room unescorted. All suppliers must be kept under supervision.
• Store staf must ensure the stocks are rotated to minimize expired stock. If the ordering process is followed and new products placed at the back of the shelves (FIFO - First in First Out) the site will minimize the need for returning stock near expiry.
• Expired, Damaged and Withdrawn products for return must be kept separately in one place and clearly identified.
• To make sure suficient stock levels are maintained in store to maximize sales and meet or exceed.
• To be sure never to accept damaged stock in the first instance.
• Products not up to standard, damaged, expired, de-listed should be rejected on inspection in the supplier's presence.
• Knowledge to do handle the customer, entering the overtime for the stafs, ordering fuel in HRMS, making salik manifest as per radiant sales, checking the cards sales and stock and entering the supplier invoices.
