Head Hunted to establish the first Visual Merchandising team in this luxury Watches and Jewellery business. Implement VM as a support function to increase business growth and the role included to:
Implement a new structure within showrooms to increase effective and efficient communication on standards, service and guidelines.
Deliver an interactive communication solution with multiple showroom access.
Deliver new concept development and design showrooms for new brand launches in the Middle East.
Liaise with Project Manager to deliver design and construction projects with full VM support.
Support Marketing to successfully deliver events, promotions and new brand launches.
Support the Sales Manager to implement visual directives across all boutiques and showrooms.
Create visually exciting installations & seasonal schemes in-line with buying/Marketing direction to accelerate sales.
Drive Improvement in VM standards across all stores, working cross functionally across the business.
Build strong relationships with the Boutique and retail teams in order to ensure visual standards are maintained at all times.
Conduct store visits to monitor visual standards and carry out display rotations where required.
Plan and implement the seasonal changeover of window schemes in coordination with brand VM and Marketing teams.
Organise the purchase, inventory and distribution of showroom VM tools.
Seasonal window décor planning for all categories; liaising with design team and local suppliers.
Create a welcoming in-store experience across multiple markets, introducing sensory branding to boutiques.
Create visual displays in showrooms that are appealing to local customers.
Developing and delivering brands and product knowledge training to meet the needs of a luxury brands department store with a tiered staff membership of 170+, co-ordinating with the organisational Learning and Development team to maintain the personal and professional development of the staff through specified course attendance informed by yearly appraisal and mid-year review, liaising with HR to deliver management training increasing capacity and focusing on talent review and succession planning. Working closely with concession and brand partners to understand and deliver their product knowledge and incentives to the team.
