Job Description:-
• Acting as a procurement in-charge and responsible for material sourcing for the complete UAE operations - Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
• Will generate forecast based on the sales history and stock movement for each brand which will give the demand or the quantity to be purchased. Based on which stock orders are placed to the vendors.
• Creating purchase requisition in the Oracle ERP and once the PR is approved will issue purchase order.
• Once the purchase order is issued with the details such as weight, travel mode, incoterms details will negotiate with the forwarder for a better price.
• Check documentation such as invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading.
• Coordinate with the shipper and clearing agent for clearance of the shipment and to ensure the material reaches our warehouse on time.
• Generate supplier receipt voucher to verify and confirm the goods received to the warehouse and accounts.
• Reviewing the non-moving and slow moving items at the branches and find sources of liquidation
• Instrumental in raising claims for shortage, damage, price difference to principles and follow up for credit notes and payments.
• Responsible for allocating items to the customer by periodically checking the back orders on daily basis.
• Generating minimum order quantity report of each product every week and prepare material planning based on the average consumption of each product list.
• Manage materials using ABC analysis by categorizing material movement into 3 types A being the items which are fast moving items with higher reorder frequency, tight inventory control and need better sales forecast, B items being intermediate with less reorder frequency and the third C item category where the order is prepared only when the actual purchase is made.
• The main responsibility of my role is to maintain a lean supply chain by utilizing just-in-time methodology and gain economies of scale with bulk purchasing for the fast moving items.
