• Assesses and conducts home visits and interviews to determine clients' current and past health problems to determine client’s needs including assessment of individuals' home or work environments to identify potential health or safety problems.
• Prepares patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments
• Administers local, inhalation, intravenous, and other medications.
• Provides health care, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.
• Administers immunization to pregnant women and assists them from pre-natal to post-partum
• Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.

• Contacts local health providers and community agencies to make referrals.

• Receives endorsement or take special note pertaining to pertinent information regarding general patient’s/elderly care;
• Makes rounds with the outgoing nurses to assess the general condition of patients/elderly and the unit as a whole;
• Makes out assignment of duties to members of the team indicating priorities and supportive services to render to each patient/elderly;
• Makes clinical rounds with physicians, assist in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures needed;
• Carries out Doctor’s order intelligently, accurately and promptly;
• Coordinates with other departments in the hospital related to patient’s/elderly care;
• Provides environment that is safe and conducive to therapeutic care;
• Administers oral medication including IV medication following the hospital procedures;
• Identifies and assesses the problem including vital signs of the patient and institutes nursing intervention as needed.
