Duties
• Gathered content for the Malawi country efforts which included; a collection of success stories and audio-visual materials for both social media and the website.
• Strengthened partnerships and collaboration between project partners, Mzuzu city council, Northern Region Water Board district, and community leaders.
• Ensured the communications activities in other grants or projects implemented by the Malawi country office adhered to the communication framework.
• Produced and designed advocacy and communication materials. E.g. press briefing notes, images, and video.
• Developed talking points, briefings, presentations, and speeches, for the Country Director
• Liaised with consultants engaged in the production of Information and Education Communication (IEC) materials to manage the qualitative aspects of production, e.g., quality control, translations, reviews of layout or graphic design, etc.
• Develop and review IEC/BCC messages/materials in collaboration with the project team, partners, and government stakeholders.
• Supported the planning, organizing, and undertaking of campaigning events, meetings, conferences, workshops, community mobilization, awareness, and sensitization together with the relevant program team and partners.

Monitoring & Evaluation and Reporting
• In liaison with project management teams, coordinated the development of robust monitoring, reporting, and targeting system; tracked project performance and documented and shared the project's key milestones and success stories with management, donors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Successfully supervised the collection of standard communications (holiday mailing, Annual Status Report, etc.), photography and documentation, success stories, and capacity building for staff in communication.
• Ensured accurate and compliant record-keeping; led various correction processes required to ensure project documentation, deliverables, and data were maintained consistently in accordance with policies and standards. Prepared monthly reports.
• Preparing project presentations for District Executive Committee (DEC) meetings.
Social Media
• Oversaw and expanded online presence, ensuring maximization of ongoing media opportunities for the project.
• Developed social media Content plan and Campaign Calendar for Malawi Country Office

Achievements
• A successful implementation of a communication strategy that resulted in a 25% increase in website traffic and a 15% increase in social media engagement within the first six months of the strategy's launch.
