I worked on green building certification and energy auditing. I also did field visits and inspections for large property complexes in Dubai where the aim was to find better ways of supplying energy using renewables, and reducing the electricity bills.
I have a degree in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering with a focus on solar energy, particularly third generation dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). In addition to that, my scientific paper on the further enhancement of DSSCs by making them more durable and flexible as well as decreasing their cost is currently in the last stages of publication by Elsevier. The paper was presented by myself at the TMREES17 International Conference in Beirut, Lebanon. Because of the diversity of the courses taken to achieve my degree, I can work both as a mechanical and an electrical engineer. Furthermore, my internship ignited in me a special interest in the designing and working of green buildings.
