Establishing an Oversight Function for Economic Cities Authority (ECA), Saudi Arabia (Dec 2013 - present)
Atkins was appointed in a joint venture with Bechtel to establish and implement an oversight and support function for the ECA, a government entity created to oversee development and growth of four economic cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. My role was to support various project activities related to Market Research, Business Analysis, and other related activities, initially a part of the REMA (Real Estate and Municipality Agency) team during initial phase of the project and later as a key member of the overall JV project team. Key responsibilities included:
• Researching Municipality and Real Estate Guidelines, and creating a framework for developing the guidelines.
• Researching Service Level agreements between comparable Municipal organizations and other government entities and identifying Standard Service Agreements for development for our client
• Supporting development of Operating models for the Real Estate and Municipal Agency
• Creating 40+ job descriptions for executive and middle management level positions related to Real Estate and Municipal functions
• Researching and supporting organization assessment

Working with the Atkins Management Consultants in Dubai for the preparation of bids for confidential projects. Job role was mainly to review the bid before finalizing and ensure that the right contents were present in the bid proposal. .

• Monitoring & reporting weekly progress from cable vendors.
• Scheduling meetings between consultants and vendor to ensure the targets are being met & to forecast plans.
• Coordinating with the client and contractor to assure that the clients requirements are met with.
• Coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure daily targets are met and reported.

Under the guidance of senior staff, I was able to acquire valuable experience by working in the Finance, HR & IT departments respectively.
