Managed the web hosting environment of the clients. Set up lamp stack and custom requirements in client servers. Provided support in server hardeninig and VM administration. Manage the public cloud in amazon (AWS) with
over 4 grids and over 200 nodes. Develop shell
scripts to compare gene files which were huge text
files. Manually setup a private cloud using Oracle
Sun Grid Engine (SGE) with the infrastructure
available in a remote location(US). Develop scripts to de-allocate and allocate instances depending on the
job requirements to help optimize the cost while
using AWS. Manage data storage using S3, EBS and Glacier, performing regular maintenance and
preparing documentation for the same.
Managed the web hosting, mail administration, backup and related activities of over 300 domains residing in five servers. Performed live server migration of these plesk panel powered servers into 3 new servers. Monitored the servers by installing nagios and ensured proper backups were taken in a remote location. Server hardening was done to prevent ddos attacks and hackers from affecting the servers.
Managed other servers with cpanel/whm integration which hosted domains within the country. Also responsible for software installations on the linux infrastructures available in the office.
Provided live chat support to users who hosted the website on our servers. The issues were resolved via a ticketing system. The servers were integrated with whm/cpanel.
