Working as "Graduate apprentice trainee" for "Hindustan Petroleum Corporation limited” since “December 2016" at Mangalore dispatch station of “Mangalore-Hassan-Mysore-Bangalore LPG Pipeline”
Job responsibilities
• Carried out the critical activities of operations officer at Mangalore dispatch station.
• Planning and execution of pipeline pumping and receipt operations
• Managed the Pig Tracking, Pig launching and receiving in cross country pipeline.
• Analyzed and verified the various case of vapor locks at the pumping station and submitted a report on the case of vapor lock and actions to be adopted to minimize its effect.
• Executed the Control Room Operations through PLC and SCADA system.
• Co-ordination & Supervision done for SCADA and Telecommunication System Commissioning and fine tuning.
• Developed formats for operations for efficiently carrying out control room activities.
• Coordinated the maintenance activities on pumps and prepared the report on the maintenance activities that has been carried out, including the actions to be taken for avoiding such maintenances in future.
• Coordinating with Mangalore LPG import facility (LPG storage location), Neriya & Hassan (Intermediate Pumping Stations), SV’s Stations and Yediyur&Mysore Receiving stations for pipeline transfer activities.
• Actively involved in the preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance activities of the plant equipment’s (Tanks-Product Storage vessels, pumps, valves, Utilities, DG Sets and others.
• Coordinated the activities under the Right of Use (ROU) department
• Improved the efficiency of line walking activities under Mangalore dispatch station up to 84 km along pipeline.
• Given training to line walker regarding the safety precautions and activities to be followed during an emergency.
• Given the responsibility of maintenance activities at the pumping station as well as at the SV stations.
• Conducted training for other officers about Leak detection system and taught them how to monitor the leak and check its validity.
• To check and ensure ‘Permit to Work’ system is followed without deviation during the shift with contractors/company staff for maintenance
• Promote a safety culture in all the employees directly or indirectly reporting to the incumbent.
• Actively participated in HSE department activities like monthly fire mock drill and fire hose and fire monitor maintenance.
• Has been a part of mechanical maintenance team at Emergency response and disaster management plan mock drill of MHMBPL, which is conducted once in a year.
• Provided Operations related Training to new joiners.
