As an IT officer managing both offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and Direct reporting to Country director and Regional IT Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Running regular checks on network and data security
• Maintain and monitor windows server environment, file server, MacAfee EPO server, backup server and storage environment.
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
• Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
• Designing training programs and workshops for staff
• Conducting regular system audits and submit report to management
• Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
• Prepare and planning Annual IT budget for UAE considering area of improvement required for smooth operation of business and submit to HQ through Regional for approval.
• Reviews vendor contracts and coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with user needs and allocated Finial year budget.
• Maintain and Update Amideast UAE website.
• Configure and prepare user account for clients in Learning Management System.
Joining as Sr. System Administrator, progressed steadily to reach the current designation and report to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for day-to-day management of IT operation and support services delivery
• Managing & supporting System Servers, Application (Mail/Web) Servers, Virtualization, Network, IT Security, Backup and Disaster recovery initiatives.
• Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies, procedures; establishing connections and firewalls; Administering of Systems and Network Resources like Cisco Switch, Router, NAS, VPN device, firewall Devices, and Anti-Virus etc
• Installation, Configuration and Administration of Windows Server Domain Controller by creating new user accounts in active directory and properly configuring DNS, DHCP, FILE SERVERS.
• Creating appropriate Group Policy for each Department to make sure administrative control and recourse availability.
• Managing and Configuration of online cloud servers hosted for Website “www.theisland.ae”,
(Managing Emails and Email Database, Website updating, Online Website E-Commence Systems)
• Responsible for coordination of Operation and Support Management for Branches from HO.
• Involved in Project Management for ERP Implementation including selection, deployment and configuration of the Hardware/Network for the same.
• Meeting with Hardware & Software vendors for purchase of new Hardware & Software and current System Upgrades. And their testing, evaluating, installation and maintain proper records for enhancements for Information Service delivery.
• Supporting Selection, Procurement and Deployment of IT Assets/Services based on organizational IT Budget.
• Performing routine team administration tasks as well as team development initiatives.
Project undertaken:
• Key Contributor for Product Research, Selection and Implementation of ERP Application for the HO and Branches
• As QHSE Representative, successfully achieved accreditation of combined ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 for the organization
• New website & Ecommerce project implementation for our new Hospitality domain in Dubai.
• SURVILLANCE SYSTEM AND OUTDOOR WIFI PROJECT implementation for our hospitality domain in Dubai (Hardware used: Proxim AP 4000 MR LR, Axis Cameras and Milestone Software)
Initiated the IT Career after Engineering studies with this IT Solution Provider and reported to the Sr. System Administrator.
