• Responsible for day to day site inspections and supervision with specific duties related to HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting works.
• Complete the tasks assigned for work inspection requests & provide accurate inspection comments, assure inspection are carried out as per schedule & procedure.
• Report to the senior mechanical any non conformance observation during inspection.
• To maintain the comprehensive awareness of all the projects particulars and requirements. Review specification, technical materials submittal, drawing calculation and design.
• To assist the Seniors Engineers to inspect the permanent works, including delivered materials in order to and maintaining site diaries on daily basis at the site.
• Assist and coordinate with the resident and senior mechanical engineer for the management and supervision of mechanical aspect of project.
• Assures incoming quality of received materials and confirm in the approved material submittal.
• Monitor the material incorporated in the work and check every delivery.
• Carry-out regular site inspection for all mechanical system permanent works as per specification method statement and drawing compliance.
• Maintains records of inspection requests and other work related documents at the site at all times.
• Prepare/complete the necessary documentation prior to inspection of the Works and process accordingly following completion of the inspection.
• Attend MEP system testing and commissioning method and schedule of the works and assures that all data results are recorded.
• Maintains awareness of the project mechanical specifications, drawings, design criteria in relation to standard codes and practices.
• Remain vigilant regarding all aspects of the construction activities and monitor the contractor performance and their compliance with the specification and contract.
• Review contractor’s installation method statements.
• Review contractor’s shop drawing and as build shop drawing against the design drawing for compliance with the design with appropriate comments / approval.
• Review and comment upon contractors Operation and maintenance manuals.
• Attend project, site progress and any MEP services related technical meeting as directed by the MEP project manager.
• Submit the daily work record on daily basis assist senior in the preparation of the monthly project status report.
• Attend to inspection Requests IR submitted by the contractor & take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision
• Provide status of snagging and re snagging of the mechanical works as per site condition.
• Undertake final project snagging and prepare list of defects for Contractor action.
