Workshop profile Summary: -
Overhauling Various AE and ME Engine Parts such as Cylinder Heads, Pistons, Exhaust & Spindles, Seats & Housings etc.Manufacturing of Impellers for IG Fan, Blower fan using MS, SS or Aluminum material. Overhauling Various types of Pumps (Marine & Industrial), Dynamic Balancing of rotating elements. Liner Honing, Rewinding / Servicing of Electric Motors & Alternators, Various Machining Works, Various Steel Fabrication Works such as extension crane booms, skids, piping etc, Reconditioning of ship’s deck machinery (cranes, grabs, winches).

PROJECT ENGINEER/INCHARGE
The main role includes following responsibilities

• Liaise with the clients and understand the requirements, project propose and recommendation.
• Read the client provided drawing & SOW/RFQ, discuss with QC & Production team and prepare a production plan.
• Interpret contracts and / or class rules or international standard required for the project.
• Prepare the Bill of materials and submit the estimated man-hours to the estimating department with elaborate scope.
• Procurement of materials through purchase department, negotiate material costs with the suppliers.
• Prepare project schedule and progress sheet for client update.
• Conduct daily production meeting with the supervisors and discuss planned jobs for that day and make sure the progress towards the delivery schedule.
• Ensure that safety regulations are strictly adhered to, to avoid any mishaps or personal injury.
• Closely monitor the man hours on a daily basis and make sure that not overshoot than allowed.
• Check and Clarify the technical and drawing queries with the client, record and convey the outcome to the shop floor.
• Schedule heavy lifting in advance and arrange all heavy equipment accordingly.
• Arrange QC inspections, 3rd party NDT and CLASS inspection and witness as per the client approved ITP.
• Interact with other departments within the Company to resolve operational, commercial and/or administrative problems, prepare lesson learnt based on completing projects.
• Preparing project completion/ closeout report.

WORKSHOP ENGINEER
The main role includes following responsibilities

• Understanding the job scope & client requirements and execute the job accordingly
• Help estimation department to draft a realistic quotation to the client.
• Provide technical engineering support to the client.
• Visit site/Vessel/facility for inspection if required.
• Arrange to off land spares from the vessels in coordination with vessel agent, vessel captain and logistics department.
• Prepare project schedule and progress sheet for client update.
• Submitting initial inspection reports with proposal to the clients for their review.
• Draft drawings of spares/structures for client submission for approval and shop floor production.
• Inspection for quality & compatibility of the job to client requirements
• Coordination and utilization of manpower and resources based on job requirements
• Cost controlling to maintain job profit
• Arranging required spares for repair from local and overseas suppliers & Maker in coordination with purchase department.
• Valuation of job file for future improvement and Preparation final work completion reports.

SITE ENGINEER at Nico international

• Mobilization of manpower, tools consumables and equipment’s to shut down sites.
• Attending daily meeting with the client and update the job progress.
• Arrange daily tool box meeting with the workers and explain them the target for the day.

• Inspection at site and make sure the safety of the workmen and workmanship towards the job.
