Jay Precision is toy exporting company located at New Mumbai, It is in to the designing and manufacturing Nerf Brand toys registered under USA based company " HASBRO" which 100% exports the toys we manufacture.
As a GM I am responsible for P&L of the the Mumbai plant where 1400 Ladies and 200 men are working.
Osos is the 1st and only company who manufacturer and supply OGTC Thread Protectors used to save precious threading of the tubular pipes.
All our applicable products are manufactured under strict compliance with API 5CT Annex -I, 9th Edition.
We already acquired API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001-2015 certification from API.
As a GM I am responsible for whole business cycle to to give good returns to investors, employees and society.
Responsibility
===========
Overall responsibility of Operations for managing all activities pertaining to daily production planning and management, maintenance and Spare part management, new projects and product development, product costing and budget setting, supply chain and logistics, recruitment and training.
Entrusted with the authorization for document control in SOPs, ISO, OSHAS, QMS & Food Safety, technical procurements and third party agreements.
Accountable for establishing and evaluating key performance indicators for all departmental managers.

•Introduced the system of showing actual vs. budget on daily basis by designing and implementing daily dash board system.
•Successfully diminished down time by 10% as compared to 2011 by implementing TPM and Lean Management tools
•Streamlined production process by proper training and motivation which increased the production by 8% as compared to 2011.
•Developed reliable local suppliers for imported parts saving almost 1 million Saudi riyal in last one year.
•Successfully executed and started Techne-ADV700 line (400, 000 HDPE bottles/day) for Nadec within a span of 3 months.
•Successfully executed and started Krones Contiform S14 Stretch blow molding line(650, 000 bottles /day) within 30 days .
•Successfully executed and started Tube Line for P&G within a span of 6 months

Responsibility

Over all responsibility of two plants for accountability of the productivity and profits, Goal setting for all HOD, Budget setting, Product costing, Import /Export, Analysis of P & L, Control on utilization of Inputs, Customer satisfaction through final product Quality, Analysis of training need to middle managers, Health and safety of the work force.
Liaison with personals from financial intuitions, Government authority, Social groups as a group representative

• Successfully converted the old working style to modern management by implementing the Perfect Manufacturing Practices, fulfilling the upcoming market need to smooth line the operations in all the departments, by training and motivating the people down the line
•Successfully rejoin the missing link of accountability by providing them the concerned authority with specific responsibilities to all middle management staff.
•Implemented Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Through Autonomous maintenance of all machines and moulds as a result reduce the power cost by 40%.
•Achieved 70% Growth in turnover and 100% Growth in productivity in last 4 years by continuous monitoring, analysis and correcting the production practices.

•Designed, developed & implemented Perfect Manufacturing Practices, which as a result, increased the Capacity utilization from 40% to 60% in the Organization
•Successfully implemented the 5K (converted 5S in Local language) of Gemba Kaizen so as to ensure ‘PEEP’. Implemented customer’s satisfaction survey and Kan Ban methodology to achieve Just in time supply to valuable customers. As a result, was promoted from Production Manager to SBU Chief -Blow SBU.
•As an SBU Chief, achievements included increased in gross margins from 45 % to 60% in one year, by implanting perfect raw material planning and Zero Lumps factory attitude, right from Helper level to Executive level staff.
•Almost 20 years old machines shifted from one plant to a new plant, modified and adjusted the construction as per requirement and restarted and streamlined the plant with in one and half month.
•Got an appreciation letter for successful implementation of Kaizen Tools from the GM -Group system.

Achievments

• Started a small scale unit from scratch, dedicated for Hindustan Lever Ltd to supply PVC bottles at their filling plant at Silvassa.
• Successfully build a professional team by recruiting and training function wise to run the plant at lowest cost to sustain the no.1 position in pvc bottle supplies to Hindustan lever.
• Achieved 18% net profit in 1st year while other competitors were at 10% to 12 %.

Routine / breakdown maintenance & Preventive maintenance planning, Spare parts management &Technical training to maintenance and production staff to assure full efficiency of the machines, record making, updating, maintaining as per ISO 9002 Systems, control on Power Cost.
Achievements

•Successfully implemented preventive maintenance practices and achieved reduction in down time from 10 % to 1 % in 1 year, As a result get promoted from Maintenance engineer to Maintenance Executive.
• Successfully built multitasking team and streamlined the maintenance and engineering activities and got promotion as a Factory Manager -Silvassa operations
Vendor development & material procurement for MS, SS, Wooden, Electrical & Electronics Materials, record making, updating & maintaining as per ISO 9001 Systems.
Carry out the calibration and testing of Digital weighing balance & allied products, Material & Manpower planning to achieve production targets, Stores management & record maintenance related to open stores, Record making, updating & maintaining as per ISO 9001 Systems, Technical & ISO training to production technicians & assemblers.
Calibration & Testing of Liquid Flow Meter, general maintenance of Lathe m/cs, Drilling m/c, Waterpumps, Welding m/c, DG set & Domestic lighting
