DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Representing purchase team while dealing with disputes and solving discrepancies without affecting the supply.
Identifying the root cause of previous discrepancies and to implement necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Coordinating with logistic wing of purchase team to smoothen the inter country materials movements.
Providing necessary technical and commercial advice to team members when required.
Preparing monthly and quarterly reports of purchase Dept. for higher management.
Re-negotiate contracts with suppliers to produce better savings and further value for spend.
Maintain positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
Analyze market and delivery trends so as to develop procurement plans.
Responsible for planning and executing raw material procurement and distribution for NP group entities as a part of the team.
Supporting R&D for new projects by sourcing their specific requirements.
Identifying the requirements of Production department and finalizing the specification.
Floating the queries in local and international markets to get the best quote with optimum quality.
Conducting the feasibility study of items to be procured and completing the procurement process.
Ensure the timely delivery by effective follow up.
Procurement of Gear pumps, Boilers, Oil Storage Tanks, Oil Testing Equipment, Steel Pipes, Flanges, Fabrication Tools, Filing Machines, Packaging Machines.
All the logistics activities related to goods movement inward and outward.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifying the requirement & ensuring the compliance of procurement with requirements.
Floating enquiries, analysing quotes & deciding the best supplier.
Clearing supplier queries and commercial negotiation.
Preparing purchase orders considering both technical and commercial aspects.
Developing contingency plans to overcome unexpected crisis.
Ensuring the quality of material adhering to API quality system.
Preparing and Maintaining approved supplier list.
Supplier evaluation & Vendor development activities.
Conducting Supplier audit as per the API guidelines.
Maintaining optimum inventory in cooperation with production and Store departments.
Reviewing the performance of suppliers in terms of quality and delivery.
Representing Procurement department in API annual audit and resolve the NC’s identified in the audit if any.
I have completed my bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in June 2012 from JECC thrissur , Kerala , India.
