Civil engineer with CET (Consolidated Engineering and Trading)
in joint venture with 'Andrade Gutierrez' on ಯJannah Damರ project- Lebanon, Jannah of Qartaba.
My functions within the team building the Dam:
Quality Control: Insuring that the works under execution and test results from our On-Site
Laboratory are in compliance with the tolerances and specifications of the contract, and
approved Shop Drawings.
Technical Support: Contributing in the drafting of the Method Statements while respecting the
Technical Specifications and International Standards (ASTM, EN, BS, etc.), and technically
supporting the production team to understand and execute with respect to that information.
Quantity Survey: Generation of Quantities and Quantity surveys for Excavations, Backfills,
Concrete, Reinforcement, etc. for the execution, and As Built Quantities to be compared with
BOQ and Tender.
Design: Design and Modeling of Access roads, Access Tunnels, Dam Galleries, Cofferdam
(Civil 3D 2018) necessary for the production of the detailed shop drawings to be provided to the
Topographic departmentಫs setting-out, I also produced Sructural Designs of Reinforced
Concrete elements for the Contractorಬs Industrial Site (retaining walls, footings, etc.) (Autodesk
Robott Structural Analysis 2015).
Shop Drawing: Producing detailed Shop Drawings and As Built Drawings (Autocad 2D) from
contractual Construction Drawings, detailed Bar Bending Sheets, Formwork, Reinforcement an
dExcavation Drawings for complex geometries such as Tunnel Linings and Tunnel Portals,
Diversion Tunnel Inlet and Outlet Structures in addition to 3D Modeling (Autocad 3D) necessary
for correct concrete volume forecasting.
I worked for two weeks in the geotechnical laboratory of the Pan Arab Project - Bekaa and personally did all available tests with reference to
corresponding ASTM standards, and had a complete two week
formation on the abutment, road, earth and piling works
ongoing on site. I also prepared a full report and presentation
which I gave to CET engineers.
I had a formation on waterproofing chemicals and building
materials, my job required to do prospecting in assigned
regions, arranging meetings with potential clients and
presenting a technical overview of the products and closing
first deal, technical pre and post sales, technical consultation
and following up with regular clients.
A small yet old and known engineering firm in Lebanon, started by Ing. Antoine Bou Chedid specialized in the Structural design of buildings and towers and providing consultancy services aswell. Due to the small volume of the firm, I had the chance to work under supervision of the engineers there on two projects from A to Z, from the conception of structural body, Seismic analysis and result interpretation using Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2014, design and reinforcement of two way slabs ( classic method ) and footings . I also worked on the shop drawing of the executional plans of these projects and improved my Autocad skills and detailing skills of various structural elements within these projects. Despite the short term of the internship (3 months) i gained alot of experience in the field of design and software analysis.
I worked on the finishing phase of a six villas project which included
(during the period I was there): Plastering, masonry work, tiling,
painting, etc..
