• Prepares the monthly consolidated financial statements of Almarai Group which include the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Stockholders’ Equity and relevant notes
• Prepares the consolidated financial statements of International Dairy & Juice Ltd. (IDJ Group) on a monthly basis. IDJ Group is a subsidiary of Almarai which operates in Egypt, Jordan & UAE. Almarai owns 52% of IDJ while the remaining 48% belongs to Pepsi Co.
• Prepares the monthly and quarterly reporting packages of Modern Foods Industry Ltd. (a 60% owned company of Almarai) for submission to Chipita Group (non-controlling interest)
• Assists the Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of the consolidated, division-wise and segment-wise internal income statement (PRO)
• Reviews the consolidated financial statements of foreign subsidiaries - Fondomonte Argentina Group and Fondomonte USA Group for the monthly group consolidation exercise.
• Responsible for the translation of foreign-currency denominated financial statements of subsidiaries to SAR, the presentation currency of the consolidated financial statements of Almarai.
• Drafts the quarterly financials statements of Almarai Group which will be submitted to auditors after reviewing by management
• Reviews and comments on reports prepared by subordinates in connection to the monthly reporting process
• Prepares ad hoc reports/analyses as required by management
• Prepares financial statements and other relevant financial reports of Manulife Insurance Co.- Philippine Branch (MLIC) and Manulife Financial Plans, Inc. (MFP) on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for Management’s use, in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Ensures that proper control procedures over financial reporting are properly followed particularly in disbursement requests and posting of journal entries for MFP and MLIC.
• Performs accounts analysis through investigation of material variances from previous period’s data and recommends necessary corrections/adjustments when necessary
• Liaises with External Auditors and Insurance Commission Examiners during their annual audits of Manulife (i.e., ensures that documents requested are submitted on time and issues/findings noted are resolved and addressed). Also acts as a key coordinator between the examiners and process owners.
• Drafts the statutory financial statements for submission to Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) but still subject to the review of the Financial Accounting Director and Assistant Vice President (AVP).
• Responsible for the quarterly Growth Task Force (GTF) Reporting to the Regional Office in Hong Kong. GTF is an initiative from the Regional Office which is basically about a 5-year plan on branch expansions and hiring of insurance agents. The report is reviewed by the AVP and the Controller.
• Prepares the Annual Statements for MFP for submission to the Insurance Commission of the Philippines.
• Performs manual and system ledger revaluations for foreign currency denominated transactions of the Company on a monthly basis
• Carries out monthly cost allocations from Parent Company to subsidiaries
• In-charge of preparing accounting models for the businesses entered into by the Alternative Distribution Department (Bancassurance) to ensure that all transactions are completely and accurately reflected in the books.
• Prepares financial statements and other relevant financial reports of Manulife Insurance Co.- Philippine Branch (MLIC) and Manulife Financial Plans, Inc. (MFP) on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for Management’s use, in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards.
