Conducting PQR & welder’s qualification test, preparation of wps of various welding processes for conformance to jobs specifications and requirements of codes (ASME9)
Conduct fit-up inspections and welding visual inspection of pipings, tanks as per approved welding procedure specification and ASME 5, 8, 9, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.3, API 650, API 620 B31.3 etc.
Conduct Inspection of materials Identification and Traceability, welding works in piping, tanks, structural steel at fabrication and erection.
Conduct painting inspection and preparing reports.
Monitor the welder performance and welding joint history with reference to project specification.
Perform NDT works and review/evaluate radiographs and post-weld heat treatment. Keeping records of NDT performed as per ASME Section V and client specification.
Conduct lines check of completed piping and review hydrostatic/pneumatic test package for NDT clearance prior start of the test.
Prepare punch list.
Witness pressure test, coordinates with the client the client inspectors regarding the test and other QC works.
Prepare all QC documents for turnover package to be submitted to the client at the final stage of the project.
Inspection & hydro testing of storage tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchanger.
Prepare Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan and Inspection Schedule.
Prepare Project Specific Quality Procedures, Work instruction etc.
Assists in co-ordination with construction group client’s representative and or third-party Inspection Agency to perform stage inspections in line with the requirement of approved inspection and Test Plan Inspection Check-list etc.
Established Welding Procedures WPS / PQR for Pressure Vessels, Oil Storage Tanks and Piping .
Stage wise inspection of Piping and Storage tanks as per ASME VIII, ASME B31.1 & B31.3 at shop.
Assist in preparing QA/QC Manpower Mobilization / Demobilization program.
Assists in preparation of weekly QC Reports for client and Management.
Ensure the use of calibration Inspection, Measuring & Testing Instruments.
Inspection of welding of piping / plates and fabricated structures for dimension and visual defects.
Witnessing of Various NDT viz. UT, PT, MT, RT
Fabrication of all Refineries Pipe Spools, Critical& General Structures.
Inspection during welding, on welding and after welding.
Review of vendor quality plan / inspection and test plans.
Review of vendor data / drawings.
Review of WPS for the welding process in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW etc.
Reviewing all Inspection Non-Conformance Reports, and seek resolution.
Conducting test to the welders for Welders Qualification Test.
Reading Engineering Drawings, Specifications, Codes Standards.
Liquid penetrate test - Conduct liquid penetrate test to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrate, and apply developer.
Ultra sonic testing - firing high frequency sound pulses into material and analyzing the difference in the reflected signal.
Radio graphic testing - using x-rays to find internal faults.
Magnetic particle testing - applying magnetic particles to magnetized materials, so they line up along cracks and defect.
Visual inspection _ using lenses, CCTV, Fiber optic cameras
