• To improve network performance through regular network audit and trend/KPI analysis.
• Carry out Monitor and ensure degradations on the IP/MPLS network are escalated to the respective Managed Services Vendors and Partners and give technical support towards prompt resolution.
• Perform usage trend analysis for PS Core and IP/MPLS network elements and connecting interfaces and use this to provide a guide to capacity forecasting and planning
• Coordinate KPI improvement recommendations to ensure timely intervention in the case of perceived degradation on IP/MPLS Nodes performance.
• Audit KPI definition, formula, review & recommendation across the technologies.
• Evaluate the impact of changes/parameter optimization by the Planning & Operations team on the PS Core & IP/MPLS network by carrying out Post implementation checks.
• Provide insights and reports on the IP/MPLS network performance
• Generate IP/MPLS network statistical analysis for Management for effective decision making.
• Drive Innovation by identifying and taking advantage of new business opportunities, e.g., by stimulating and encouraging new business opportunities, launch of products, product/process innovation, business model innovation etc.
• Monitoring the Data network traffic and observe various trends to detect any potential bottlenecks in advance and engage relevant departments to facilitate its avoidance
• Ensure resolution of escalated issues within SLA through proper follow-ups and support to vendors & other internal stake-holders.

• Installation, configuration and maintenance of network equipment such as Routers, Switches and Firewalls.( ROUTER-ATN910, NE40, NE40E-X3, NE40E-X8, NE5000, AR-3200, EUDEMON FIREWALL-8000, USG5120, USG 9520, LANSWITCH-S3900, S6500, S5300, S5700, S9700, S9300, CE12804, CE5850, CISCO Switches and Routers.
• Proficiency with CISCO, HUAWEI and JUNIPER Platforms.
• Performing routine checks, part replacement and maintenance on all network elements.
• Trouble shooting and resolving LAN/WAN connectivity issue.
• Monitoring of network elements and ensuring prompt repair and restoration of all faulty sites/link.
• Manage bandwidth of the IP/MPLS backbone for optimal performance.
• Provide assistance to help desk/front line engineers for solving technical network problems.
• Adequate knowledge of Routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, MPLS L2VPN, MPLS L3VPN, MP-BGP, VPLS, IP MULTICAST etc
• Supervise Telecommunication/ICT Sub-contractor to ensure quality while at same time meeting dead-line.
• Keep an up-to-date inventory of telecoms and IT equipment installed on site and also giving day-to-day site report to show project progress.
• Maintenance of Visafone MPLS backbone network.
• Implementation of Internet gateway redundancy project for 21st Century Limited.
• Implementation of Gigabit over IP for 2G network for Globacom Nigeria Limited with BSS team.
• Planning, designing and implementation of 2G and 3G network for Globacom Nigeria Limited.
• Preparation of HLD and LLD.
• Responsible for research on CISCO and HUAWEI product description, design and deployment methodologies as well as best practices.
• Installation, Implementation and Integration of Network Management System to the IP/MPLS network for IP and IT devices Management.
• E-sight and U2000 server Set up and Installation.
• Planning, design, implementation and configuration of ADSL, SHDSL, VOIP services.
• Adequate knowledge of SIP protocol.
• Termination and testing of Subscriber cables on Main distribution frame (MDF) for Fixed access Subscribers.
• Adequate knowledge of the working principle and processes of the fixed network technology.

• Management of Visafone Communication Limited IP/MPLS backbone
• Responding to change requests from customers in line with 3 approval system ( Technical director, Customer and Project manager approval)
• Monitoring of network elements and ensuring prompt repair and restoration of all faulty sites/links to meet SLA.
• Provide assistance to Front line engineers for solving technical network problems and also regular training for effective first level troubleshooting.
• Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN connectivity issue.
• Performing routine checks, part replacement, and maintenance on all network elements.
• Ensure the different Monitoring tools are fully deployed, up and running and also coordinate Supervise service desk/ Front-line activities.
