مجموع سنوات الخبرة :6 years, 11 أشهر
I am responsible with promoting business intelligence utilisation across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. A key element of this role is building strong working relationships with my customers: understanding their requirements and managing expectations to improve customer satisfaction. During site visits I perform BI awareness training, pre-audit inspections, ad-hoc reporting solutions and providing local management with operational, sales and financial data. I work across all Aggreko's business streams in Aggreko; fleet management, service, supply chain, sales and finance.
Notable business intelligence adoption projects:
1. Working with individual Power Project sites (50-250MW facilities) to understand their KPIs and customising existing solutions to match their requirements. This is particularly challenging given the location of our sites and network infrastructure limitations.
2. Investigating utilising the data acquisition aspect of SCADA in our Power Project sites.
3. Finance, operations, supply chain and sales business intelligence demonstrations on-site in; Brazil, China, UAE, India, Singapore
4. Operations, supply chain and sales business intelligence demonstrations on-site in; Bahrain, Abu Dhabi (UAE), Sharjah (UAE), Qatar, Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait, Chennai (India), New Delhi (India), Kenya, Oman
5. Instigated an initiative for after training and new joiner demonstrations using online and video conferencing technology.
6. CAPEX analysis for disposal of assets and global emissions project.
7. Utilising Lean Six Sigma techniques and customer feedback to improve existing solutions. Ensuring greater impact across my territory.
While working in Indigo I received much experience in business development, key strategic account management, building relationships with the clients in my portfolio, drafting and placing advertisements for any new roles, sourcing candidates from across the globe, briefing the candidate on salary & benefits on offer for the role, conducting pre submitting interviews of candidates which include both technical and soft skill questions, coordinating with my clients & candidates to arrange interviews, negotiating salary & benefits to finalize offer letters, producing an invoice for my client and following up with both my client and candidate to review our recruitment process.
I joined Irish Life as a member Software Development team for the Retail IT department. This team was responsible for developing applications for use by the insurance sales force to determine the products that would best meet their client’s needs. While originally being a key member of the development team, I became heavily involved in the latter phases of this project including technical training for the sales staff and after-sales support, which eventually resulted in me migrating to a Business Analyst role. In this role I was responsible for identifying business needs and developing IT solutions to meet these needs. I regularly engaged with all levels of management, users and my colleagues to develop solutions and define SLAs to ensure both business & IT needs were catered for. This required flexibility in terms of handling the varying levels of IT literacy among the staff.
During my time in Irish Life I became proficient in:
• End user presentations, inter team co-ordination and project management
• Requirements gathering from all areas of Irish Life's business
• After sales support through face to face, telephone and e-mail communication
• QA testing before presenting solutions to the Business teams
• Agile and Scrum design methodologies
• I received a Lean Six Sigma yellow belt in 2010
• C#, VB.NET, XML, XSLT and COBOL programming languages
• Jira and TrackRecord bug recording and CATSYS time recording software
I joined Irish Life as a member Software Development team for the Retail IT department. While initially starting my career as a Software Developer I took the opportunity to progress to the role of a Business Analyst. I truly enjoyed this role as it allowed to use my broad technical knowledge and communication skills to be a key contributor in implementing innovative IT solutions for Irish Life and their customers.
Project 2: Siebel CRM & POS, Implementation, Training & Post Support - Business Analyst
When the new Point of Sales system was ready to be rolled out, I was selected to be the representative of the Development team at all Training & Installation seminars through Ireland. In this role I gained experience in end-user presentations in Industry and how to pitch IT soltuions to Buisness people. During the training sessions I would listen to the Salespeoples’ feedback and we would discuss any improvements that could be made to the Software, I would then create Technical documents for proposed changes and present these to both Business and IT teams back in Head Quarters.
Project 1:Siebel CRM & POS, Development Team - Software Developer
I was responsible for implementing application improvements that were defined in monthly meetings between IT & Business teams. As this was a Star System, I gained much system analysis experience to ensure that any changes I made has no negative repercussions on any other element in the Star. Due to the high level of System Integration, it was necessary to perform detailed SIT & UAT on changes and provide very detailed Development Documents which were reviewed by other team members to ensure best practises were being maintained.
As part of my university degree, I spent eight months working in industry. The position I held was in the Intel Processing Facility and was very hands-on. During my time there, they upgraded the facility. A large part of my work was to perform site acceptence tests, and commissioning of the new machines and instruments in the plant. Further responsibilities included quality assurance on the processes and materials for the production of Intel chips and assisting the engineers with tool maintenance.
